Aaron Chalmers vs Jack Fincham LIVE RESULTS: Card on NOW, fight time as reality TV kings clash on huge BKFC 81 bill

Go with the Flo

Aaron Chalmers had seven MMA fights before moving into boxing – where he took on Floyd Mayweather in a 2023 exhibition.

He told SunSport in 2024: “I can’t say one bad word about him. When you see him on social media and stuff, you think he’s a bit arrogant.

“But, my son was having surgery two days after the fight in Liverpool.

“And after the fight he came up and said, ‘I just want to wish your son well in surgery.’

“So everything I was talking about in the press conference, he was obviously listening whereas I thought he wasn’t paying attention, but he obviously was.

“He came up to us and said, ‘You’re one tough motherf***er and I just want to wish your son well in his surgery.

“To me, I was like, ‘This is one of the biggest superstars on the planet and he was obviously listening.'”

Five to go

Still got another five fights on the card till Aaron Chalmers vs Jack Fincham.

Then of course, James DeGale main-event fight.

Remember, they are only 5×2 minute rounds so they fly by.

DeGale hits back

James DeGale was gutted boxing fans dug him out over an interview — after he overcame ADHD and autism to rule the boxing world.

Following six years in fame-free retirement, the Brit made a rare appearance on talkSPORT at the start of this month.

And DeGale, 39, admitted: “My mouth was a bit dry.

“Obviously, it is the first interview I’ve done for ages. Then I saw some of the comments — it was so horrible — that I’m punchy and slurring and it looks like I’m on drugs.

“But look back at my first-ever interviews back when I turned pro, I was never the best talker. I’m a bit special. I’ve got ADHD, I’m a little bit autistic, I’m dyslexic.

“So I’m standing up for the special people. I found it difficult and people can be so cruel. There’s the mental health side, too. Why do people feel the need and the right to abuse people?”

Jack’s biggest stage

Jack Fincham believes the stage is set for a breakout performance.

He said: “As I said, I’ve been fighting competitively for 20 years and I’ve boxed professionally twice anyway.

“Three times actually, one of them was obviously a pro bare-knuckle.

“And again, you still can’t shake it, but because BKFC is so big and you’ve got the names of like James DeGale on it, you’ve Kell Brook been said to be signing over to it.

“It’s a huge, huge platform live on DAZN, I think once I go and get this win it firmly cements me like, ‘Oh, actually this guy is the real deal.'”

Had to Jack it in

Jack Fincham only ever started boxing because he was so bad at football – before finding fame on the telly.

He said on talkSPORT: “With Misfits and these sort of influencer fights, everyone sort of puts me in that category but I can’t really go in that category.

“I’ve had two pro fights, obviously both out in Dubai. I originally signed with Ben Shalom in 2020 but didn’t end up having my pro debut until 2022.

“That was with the Dubai Boxing Council. I had 30 fights for Eltham Boxing Club so I was a fighter long before I went on TV.”
