Another Biden Health Cover-Up? – HotAir

Perhaps Joe Biden’s cognitive decline wasn’t the only health issue the White House hid during his presidential term. Over the weekend — curiously — the Biden’s announced that the former president has prostate cancer, hardly a surprising turn for an 82-year-old man. However, they announced that Biden’s cancer has metastasized into his bones, which is an almost-unheard-of initial diagnosis:

Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer just months after he left office, his representatives said Sunday.

Biden received the diagnosis of prostate cancer with metastasis to the bone after he was experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. “While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians,” according to a statement from Biden’s personal office.

The diagnosis arrives as Biden, who was 82 when he left office in January, has come under scrutiny for age-related mental and physical declines he suffered while he was president.

The metastasis raises serious questions about when this cancer actually got diagnosed. These days, routine blood tests are so reliable that the traditional finger test for prostate enlargement has largely become passé (thankfully). These tests catch prostate cancers much sooner and prevent the kind of metastasis that the Bidens announced this weekend. It is absolutely inconceivable that the president of the United States would not have taken blood tests that checked for this possibility, especially at his age and even more especially as he prepared to run for a second term in office.

Biden critics aren’t the only ones questioning the timing. Doctors are flabbergasted as well:

“It is inconceivable that this was not being followed before he left the Presidency,” Dr Howard Formman said in a post on X.

“Gleason grade 9 would have had an elevated PSA level for some time before this diagnosis. And he must have had a PSA test numerous times before. This is odd,” he added. “I wish him well and hope he has an opportunity for maximizing his quality of life.”

D. Steven Quary raised the possibility of malpractice:

“The PSA blood test shows the rate of cancer cell growth. For even with the most aggressive form, it is a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic,” he said.

“Meaning, it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and be first diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025,” he continued.

Another doctor went on the air yesterday to call the diagnosis shocking. Dr. David Shusterman said he’d expect a Gleason 9 diagnosis from someone who hadn’t seen a doctor in ten years:

“The fact that we just find it at a Gleason nine is just pretty much unheard of in this day and age of medicine,” Shusterman told “NewsNation Prime.”

“This is what I typically would see in a VA hospital, where a patient hasn’t had medical attention in 10 years, presents to an emergency room with bone pain, and then they find that it’s metastatic prostate cancer.”

Dr. Marc Siegel told Fox News yesterday that the PSA test isn’t necessarily a silver bullet, but it’s very unusual for anyone to get an initial Gleason 9 diagnosis:

Some Democrats want an end to the debate over the Biden’s cognitive decline out of “respect” for the Bidens. As News Nation points out, though, this fits in with a pattern of cover-ups by the Biden White House. And the release of this news on a Sunday, two days before a book about his cognitive decline will hit bookstore shelves, raises questions about the timing too:

This will likely backfire, as it’s clear that someone knew about Biden’s prostate cancer well before now — and kept it from the public. The President of the United States gets constant medical support while in office, premised on the idea that his health is a public concern and that the public should know when significant impairments develop. The Bidens abused that privilege for the entire four years, and are not due any benefit of the doubt in this instance. And it isn’t a reason to set aside the questions about the cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline, but another cover-up that now must be explored. What else were they hiding about Biden?

Finally, we certainly hope and pray that Biden recovers from this bout of cancer. He might have helped himself to do that by being honest with voters … and perhaps not running for president in either cycle.
