Guehi, 24, was able to lift the trophy alongside club legend Joel Ward.

However, he was rushed to hospital in an ambulance afterwards.

The BBC have claimed here were fears that he suffered a fracture to his eye socket.

It is currently believed that he has severe bruising and that he avoided anything more serious.

However it is not yet known whether he will be able to play in Palace’s remaining Premier League fixtures.

The Eagles still have to play Wolves at Selhurst Park before finishing the season away at Liverpool.

Guehi was discharged at around midnight which means he was unable to attend the club’s celebration party at BoxPark.

He was not the only player who had to visit hospital as Adam Wharton also needed attention.
