- This is due to BBC wanting to cover all their bases ahead of the Eurovision song contest later in the day, and were pushing for a 3pm kick-off time.
- ITV were pushing for a 5.30pm kick-off to maximise viewership and advertisement.
- As such, the pair settled on 4.30pm BST.
