HOME Bargains is known for its incredible budget buys – whether it’s food, homeware, beauty products or dupes.

And it seems the high street store has done it again, with a £3.99 buy that’s got shoppers racing to their local branch.

Lisa was one of the first to post about the bargain product, after she managed to snap one up.

“Lovely bird boxes – £3.99 each,” she wrote, alongside a picture of the boxes themselves on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.

Both boxes are versions of a traditional red postbox, with one the option you have attached to the wall, and the other a standalone postbox.

They also both have openings at the front – for the birds to go in – and even feature the ER royal cypher at the bottom.

And thanks to the red colour of the bird boxes, they’ll definitely stand out in the garden.

“Bring a little fun to your garden with the Jardin Mailbox Bird House,” Home Bargains said of the birdbox on their website.

“Shaped like a tiny mailbox, it’s a cute and cozy place for birds to nest.

“Built to last, it’s a great way to give birds a home in your garden.”

As she excitedly shared her new purchase, Lisa also pointed out that the bird boxes would make a “great Father’s Day present”.

Father’s Day in the UK is on Sunday June 15.

In the comments section of Lisa’s post, other shoppers said they were desperate to get their hands on one of the Home Bargains buys.

“I need to get one of these!” one wrote.

“Oh wow, I love these!” another added.

“I’m going to look tomorrow.”

“I’ve not seen them. They’re lovely!” a third gushed.

“We need to get these for garden,” someone else commented, tagging a pal.

5 things you didn’t know about Home Bargains

  1. Home Bargains was founded by Tom Morris
  2. It’s official name is TJ Morris Ltd but trades as Home Bargains
  3. The first store was opened in Liverpool in 1976
  4. Around 30% of the stores range comprises clearance lines

However, others warned that the boxes are only really suited to be decorations in the garden.

“They may look cute but hopefully they’ll just be for decoration – totally unsuitable for nesting birds,” one wrote.

“Yes for decoration for a garden,” Lisa replied.

“A bird won’t nest in that,” someone else insisted.

“It’s too shallow.

“If a predator’s beak/paw can reach in to the bottom then it’s not safe.”
