It’s the first Monday in May, and you know what that means – it’s the Met Gala 2025, hosted at New York City‘s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The famous night, which has brought tons of viral fashion moments and mishaps over the years, is hosted by the celebrated Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, who has been the chairwoman of the grand event since 1995.

This year’s theme is Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. It explores Black dandyism from the 18th century to its revival during the Harlem Renaissance and its impact on fashion today.

The dress code is Tailored For You, in a nod to menswear and suiting as seen in the exhibit at the Met, which is what the gala benefits.

The dress code is specifically about embracing looks reflective of the celebrity’s own personal style. There will be different takes on suiting, including versions of the zoot suit made popular by jazz musicians in the 1940s and bold, colorful styles.

In addition to Wintour herself, this year’s co-chairs include Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams, with rumored attendees among Kim Kardashian, Madonna and Stevie Wonder.

Basketball player LeBron James was set to be an honorary co-chair, but revealed on Monday afternoon that he would need to drop out due the MCL sprain he sustained in an April 30 playoff game.

So, without further ado, here’s a list of some of the biggest fashion flops from the one of the most important nights in style:
