DAVID Beckham celebrated his 50th birthday wine-tasting in the South of France before jetting to Paris for the evening.
The star is hosting a lavish party tonight in London – although there are fears eldest son, Brooklyn, will NOT attend despite being in the capital.
Tellingly, the 36-year-old did not publicly post a ‘happy birthday’ message to his dad – the first time he has failed to do so.
However, Becks had an “amazing” day with the rest of his family, as the clan hired a £40 million Brigadier Global 6000 private jet, spending the afternoon supping wines in a Bordeaux vineyard.
Wife Victoria paid tribute to him on Instagram with a montage of photos and a sweet clip of daughter Harper as a toddler, warbling ‘There’s only one David Beckham’.
A source added: “David had the most incredible day, and felt truly spoilt.

“The immediate family flew out from Oxford, spent the afternoon supping wines – even Harper had a little sip – and then jetted to Paris in the evening for dinner at one of his favourite restaurants. Victoria went all out.
“It was pretty much a perfect day, although sadly Brooklyn was unable to make it.
“Tonight is the big London bash with his celeb pals, family and friends but although Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola, are invited – and are in town – they have yet to RSVP.
“There has been some contact between them though.
“So it’s all very up in the air – there’s certainly a lot of tension there right now, but David just wants to focus on the positives, and what will be will be.”
Yesterday, while Posh and Becks enjoyed their no expense spared French getaway, VB’s mum, Jackie, was spotted doing an early recce of Notting Hill restaurant, Core, where tomorrow’s dinner is taking place.
Around 40 guests – including Gordon and Tana Ramsay, Guy Ritchie, Tom Cruise and the couple’s personal trainer, Bobby Rich, are expected to attend the three source, sit-down meal.
Head Chef Clare Smyth – previously named World’s Best Female Chef – has designed a traditional, British-themed menu, celebrating sustainable, seasonal ingredients.
David’s favourite wines, including three of the wines he tasted yesterday: Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau La Grâce Dieu des Prieurs and Château Mouton Rothschild, will be served.
Victoria is expected to her favourite tipple: tequila.
After dinner, the ex-Man United midfielder will make a speech, paying warm tribute to both his parents, and Posh and the kids.
While Harper, 13, is not yet on social media, his middle two boys, Cruz and Romeo both took to Instagram to mark their dad’s big day.
Singer Cruz wrote “I love you so much dad” beside a arty photo whilst model Romeo revealed the birthday caught he’d bought him- a bespoke cartoon, taken from his Netflix documentary, poking fun of Becks’ age.
However, Brooklyn – who double-barrelled his wife’s surname when they married – was notably quiet in the wake of recent reported tensions.
Last night fans were quick to notice it, posting questioning comments on his Instagram profile.
Ironically, his last Insta post was an advert for a pasta company, in which he wrote: “For me, pasta means family – and like Barilla, I love bringing everyone together for a shared meal around the table.”
Just whether Brooklyn joins the family around the table tonight, remains to be seen.
