Child struck by car near school sparking huge emergency response with air ambulance deployed – The Sun

A CHILD has been struck by a vehicle near a primary school as cops and air ambulance block off the road.

Emergency services were called to on Ashfield Road, in Rochdale, Greater Manchester yesterday.

The extent of the child’s injuries are not yet known, or if anyone else was involved in the crash.

The youngster’s age is also unknown.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “There is currently a large emergency services presence on Ashfield Road, Rochdale due to a collision.

“Road closures remain in place on Ashfield Road and adjoining streets Vivian Street, Arundel Street and Prospect Street, whilst we continue to deal with the incident.”

The force have been contacted for more information.
