Justin Bieber reveals grandfather’s death with heartbreaking post

Justin Bieber is mourning a painful loss.

On Saturday, the 31-year-old singer revealed that his beloved grandfather Bruce Dale — his mother’s father — has passed away.

An obituary from the W.G. Young Funeral Home in Stratford, Ontario, stated that Bruce ‘passed away peacefully at the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth on Thursday’ at the age of 80.

Bieber shared a touching throwback photo of himself as a teenager alongside Dale, reflecting on their close bond with an emotional caption.

‘Papa, I always took all ur money lol. I remember u specifically telling me, gramma gave u an allowance of 20 dollars for the WEEK! I would always convince you to spend on snacks at the hockey game on Friday nights. Reluctantly you always gave it to me. Corn nuts, skittles, gum balls, chuck a puck, slush puppies,’ he wrote.

The pop star continued, ‘I can’t wait to see u again soon in heaven. Until then I know ur watching down probly still heckling Beatty or Fagon for missing that cross check call in the corner there lmfao.’

‘I will miss u. I will ache and I’ll sit and let myself remember all of the wonderful times we’ve had,’ he concluded.

Justin, along with wife Hailey Bieber and their son Jack-Blues, were listed in the obituary alongside Bruce’s other children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his wife, Diane.

‘Bruce was also loved and will be missed by his sons and daughters; Candie Toper (Joe), Chris Mallette, Chris Dale (Michelle) and Pattie Mallette, grandchildren; Amanda Buck, Justin Bieber (Hailey) and Chantel McNaught (Brian) and by his great-grandchildren; Austin, Lucas, Riley, Raymond, Reese and Jack-Blues,’ the obituary read.

Bruce had always been one of Justin’s biggest supporters.

He even appeared in the pop star’s 2011 documentary film, Never Say Never, which chronicled Justin’s journey to a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden during his My World Tour.

Years later, Bruce reflected on his grandson’s meteoric rise to fame during an interview at the Stratford Perth Museum, which opened a special exhibit dedicated to Justin in 2018.

‘Seeing him on the stage for the first time was amazing,’ he recalled.

The heartbreaking news comes amid a turbulent time for Bieber, as he and wife Hailey continue to battle swirling rumors of trouble in their marriage.

It also comes after Justin hit out at ‘Hollywood bullies’ in a new post on Friday after putting on a united front with wife Hailey at breakfast on Thursday.

The singer took to Instagram to slam unnamed people trying to get him to ‘quit LA’ as he accused them of bullying him.

He wrote: ‘Everyone telling me to move from LA. U think I’m gonna get bullied to leave where my influence is most needed?’

Justin continued: ‘How can we make a change if we run away from the darkness? I too have been caught up in the transactional nature of Hollywood.

‘It’s embarrassing but with that said. I want nothing to do with that as a grown adult with a wife and son.

‘I just want to be submerged in the culture learning from any and everyone. And be a proponent and advocate for LOVE AND EQUALITY.’
