Walking away victorious, Jack becomes the reigning champion, joining ITV’s cohort of winners including fellow Celebrity Big Brother winner David Potts, and Big Brother winners Jordan Sangha and Ali Bromley.

In his first exclusive interview, Jack told AJ and Will that he is ‘blown away’ by his victory and ‘didn’t expect it’ – instead he had JoJo Siwa ‘nailed’ as the winner.

Talking about how he went from the most-nominated housemate to the winner, the soap star admitted: ‘I figured that I might annoy a few people and they might not know how to work me out but I guess I was liked by the end.’

Before entering the house, Jack, who is known for his portrayal of David Platt on Corrie, revealed the real reason behind his signing to Celebrity Big Brother.

Ahead of appearing on the ITV show, Jack admitted to The Sun’s TV Magazine that he had a fear of being cancelled.

The soap star also revealed that former housemate and fellow soap star Colson Smith heavily influenced his decision about going on the show.

He explained that because he knows an ‘insider’, he felt more open to going on the show because he wanted to make sure he didn’t get ‘cancelled’.

Jack told the publication: ‘I have to know someone on the inside to make sure I’m not going to get cancelled.

‘That’s everyone’s fundamental concern, isn’t it? That’s the biggest one.

‘What happens if I go in there and I’ve no career [after] or people hate me?”

Jack also shared his worry of being ‘booed’ or ‘heckled’ and admitted that he hoped to be the person in the house that was there to make everyone laugh.

And Jack has certainly turned it around after a difficult start to the show.

Fans were left asking if they are ‘missing something’ after the star received a slew of shock nominations at the beginning of the series – for everything from ‘having a game plan’ to wearing too much aftershave.

With perhaps the most bizarre reason of all, Patsy Palmer explained that she was nominating Jack because he reminds her of The Joker.

In the Diary Room, she explained: ‘I sleep next to Jack and he looked today like The Joker. I have nightmares about The Joker, he could trigger nightmares for me which I don’t like.

‘I don’t like the face of The Joker. I won’t watch the film, I don’t like that face, I don’t like when I see it on Halloween.

‘I’m not saying it’s his face. He’s a nice looking guy but… just gonna give me nightmares.’

Elsewhere, Danny claimed that the Corrie actor likes ‘messing with his mind’ as he said: ‘I think his jokes are intentionally to wind people up a little bit.

‘This experience is enough of a mind f*** and he enjoys messing with your mind a little bit while it’s going on and that’s just not my kind of sense of humour.’
