This is the terrifying moment a balaclava-clad gang attacked a mother’s home before returning armed with bricks and machetes.

Samantha, who did not want to use her surname, was left as petrified as a gang of yobs circled her property in south east London in March.

The 49-year-old, who does not work due to a disability, said the gang had come to her home four times between 9pm and 4am.

Shocking CCTV footage shows a group of eight people walking towards her house before launching bricks in a bid to smash her windows.

In another clip, two men can be seen riding to the property on an electric motorbike before proceeding to pelt car windows with a machete.

Samantha believes the gang wanted to enter her home, which she shares with her 19-year-old son, to harm them.

Despite both CCTV and photographic evidence, police have said no further action could be taken as it ‘was not possible to identify any suspects’.

Samantha, who fled the property in the night to escape violence, has since been rehomed in temporary accommodation.

She claims her 19-year-old was previously involved with a gang in the area but she alleges they ‘targeted’ him after he separated himself from them a year ago.

‘My son has special needs, because he’s autistic that’s how he got involved in all this. They took advantage of him,’ she said.

‘They came four times on the same day, it started before 9pm the first one. Two boys on a bike came on and smashed our car up.

‘Then they came back with a group and smashed our house up. It’s just me and my son living in the house so we were terrified.

‘We managed to get away and they came back again and put the last two windows through.’

She also claimed they back at around 4am that day and tried to force the front door open.

‘I believe they wanted to come into that house and kill us. They smashed the window of the front door with a knife,’ she said.

Samantha claims that Metropolitan Police failed to arrive on time or take her seriously, despite the growing number of armed men outside.

She’s since been rehomed by the council to escape any more violence but worries that the situation could unfold again.

She added: ‘Two days later the police sent me a letter saying they’ve closed the case as they can’t identify them as they’ve got masks on.

‘We’re in temporary accommodation now because of this. To me that’s like we can do anything we want if we wear a mask or hide our face.

‘I gave the police all the names and addresses. This has been going on for a long time.

‘There were about nine of them and I was in the house on my own. We can’t live there anymore. The car was smashed up and we’ve had to pay for all the repairs.’

The Metropolitan Police said: ‘We received reports of multiple incidents of criminal damage at an address in Southport Road, Greenwich. These took place on Saturday, 22 March, and Sunday, 23 March.

‘After reviewing CCTV footage of the incident, we established that it was not possible to identify any suspects. Should any new information come to light, we will consider further viable lines of enquiry.’
