I got my kid a huge pile of Easter gifts… trolls call it ‘madness’ and say ‘it’s not Xmas’ but she deserves it

A MUM has come under fire after proudly showing off the mega pile of presents, toys and chocolates she got her tot for Easter.

TikToker @themommaadventures was met with a barrage of abuse, as trolls dubbed her family traditions ”madness”.

While most parents will usually get their little ones chocolate eggs, the mother had gone all out this Easter, purchasing light-up toys, sweets, an arts and crafts set from Poundland and bubbles.

Other gifts in the jaw-dropping haul included colourful Easter stamps, a huge variety of chocolate eggs, an adorable Easter bonnet, a picture book, as well as the viral Charlie, The Chocolate Labrador Easter Egg from Aldi.

To add to the monster chocolate collection, the mum had also snapped up one Maltesers Chocolate Egg, Thorntons White Chocolate Easter Egg, Bluey Milk Chocolate Easter Egg, Toblerone and Cadbury Wispa Egg, which shoppers can find at most supermarkets for £4.

It wasn’t just sweet treats the little one will munch on later, as the parent also treated the little one to adorable new wardrobe, including frilly socks, handmade hair bows, cycling shorts and a top with pink detailing – and more.

Wishing everyone a ”Happy Easter”, the mother wrote in the caption: ”Disclaimer, she will NOT be eating all of this in one day.

”Some things was from both of her nana and granddads, as well as us her parents.”

But while she may have had the best intentions, the clip – viewed more than 359k times in less than 24 hours – didn’t go down too well.

As over 3,000 people gave it a like, over 200 people flooded to comments in sheer shock, where many wondered if Easter’s become the new festive season.

”It’s not Christmas? that’s madness, sorry,” wrote one person, as a further 655 TikTokers agreed.

Someone else chimed in: ”Basically a load of tat, that will end up in the toy box/bin.”

Everyone can find the Easter eggs but only those with a high IQ and eyes of a hawk will spot the hidden bunnies in 5secs

”I wouldn’t want my child growing up thinking this is the norm for Easter lol. Each to their own I guess,” a third wrote.

A fellow mum said: ”When did Easter turn into Christmas?

”No hate btw you do you but that is way too much! My son is the same age and I’ve got him 2 Easter eggs and a Lindt chocolate bunny.. that’s a normal amount.”

Why do retailers close on Easter Sunday?

A legal mandate in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland dictates that all store locations over 280 square metres are required to close on Easter Sunday.

The Sunday Trading Act 1994 restricts the opening hours of larger stores on Sundays.

Smaller shops, under 280 square metres, are not subject to this law but many still choose to close to give their staff a break.

These rules also apply to locations on Christmas Day.

Scotland does not have specific restrictions on operating hours for these days.

A horrified parent commented: ”My kid gets less for Xmas.”

After taking the popular social media platform by storm for all the wrong reasons, the mum hit back at the trolls, explaining that this is how she allegedly grew up.

”We like to celebrate every occasion differently.

”Everything I bought are things I know my child will enjoy playing with,” she claimed.

”I can guarantee my child still gets taught the Easter story.”

”What you choose to buy your child is your choice as is it’s my choice what I buy my child,” she went on.
