Wolves handed United their 15th defeat of the season and secured Premier League safety themselves

Wolves went onto snatch a 1-0 win through Pablo Sarabia’s sublime free-kick, securing Cunha and Co. Premier League safety this season.

But as the players headed down the tunnel, with the scores goalless, at the break Amorim could be seen endearingly tapping the side of Cunha’s head in an affectionate way.

While this could be just a friendly greeting, it is rare for opposition managers and players to interact at half-time.

One fan wrote: “Amorim’s literally tapping him up 👀.”

A second hopefully said: “He is replacing Alejandro Garnacho in our starting line-up next season.”

A third added: “Amorim’s begging him to come 😂.”

Cunha has been reportedly linked with a move to Man Utd as his future in the West Midlands remains up in the air.

The Brazilian forward has been a revelation for Wolves this season, despite the Molineux club struggling towards the bottom of the table.

Last weekend, he posted a photograph to his Instagram story with the caption: “Time to be happy, I will follow my dreams, not yours… So stay cool.”

Wolves supporters were furious with the striker and he was forced to apologise.

Cunha’s 14 goals in 27 Prem appearances have lifted Wanderers away from danger with their survival secured on Sunday.

The 25-year-old signed a new four-year contract in January making him the highest paid player in Wolves’ history.

But the deal included a £62.5m minimum fee release clause that is widely expected to be activated by multiple clubs when the transfer window re-opens.

Arsenal, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are also believed to be among his admirers amid an impressive campaign for Wolves.
