VIEWERS of The 1 Percent Club were left absolutely stunned when Lee Mack seemingly insulted a contestant’s looks.
The comedian made the apparent brutal dig when he took to the airwaves for the ITV primetime quiz show.
However, Lee Mack, 56, got on the wrong side of the audience when he interviewed one contestant.
Diane Moorland was hoping to get into The 1% Club and win a share of the jackpot prize at the end of the show.
However, she unfortunately got a question wrong before the cameras turned to her.
Lee asked her to reflect on her aspirations for the prize pot, and she shocked the studio audience with her response.
The contestant told the star host that she wanted to potentially use the tens of thousands of pounds to get a nose job.
He appeared shocked by her answer at first, when he told her that she didn’t need to get any work done.
The contestant seemed to insist that she just didn’t like the shape of the facial organ saying, “I’ve never liked it.”
This is when Lee shocked those present with his savage remark about her personal appearance.
He then said: “To be fair, it does look like thought that if you took your glasses off the nose would come off as well.”
Although the contestant took the quip in good faith and laughed it off, others watching the show were not so forgiving.
Viewers took to social media in droves as they fumed at the presenter’s brutal dig at the contestant’s personal appearance.
Writing on X – formerly known as Twitter – one fan fumed: “F*** sake Lee. She’ll definitely have a complex about her nose now !.
As a second posted: Gosh, I hope the lady with the nose cleared it for Lee to take the p*** before the show. That was brutal!
Another stated: “Did he just say that about her nose?!”, alongside two wide-eyed emojis.
