EMMERDALE’S Isabel Hodgins has tearfully revealed she was rushed to urgent care today for postpartum complications.
The actress – who plays Victoria Sugden in the ITV soap – gave birth to daughter Georgie Grace in February, but just seven weeks later she has to spend the day under medical care over related complications.
Posting on Instagram, Isabel revealed: “Today didn’t go to plan.
“There were tears… and a fear hours spent at urgent care getting checked over.
“The staff were so lovely and caring.
“There are some things they don’t tell you about postpartum recovery.”
In February, Isabel posted a sweet video and confirmed that daughter Georgie Grace Whitehead had been born.
The video showed Isabel at the hospital before she gave birth.
She then put a caption which read: “On the 11th February at 1.02am… Georgie Grace Whitehead,” with the audio of her baby crying.
Isabel revealed that her newborn weighed 8lbs 5 ounces.
The soap star then shared a sweet black and white polaroid photo of her cradling her newborn from her hospital bed.
Isabel captioned the post: “And then we heard you,” with a pink love heart emoji.
Last week Isabel revealed the mortifying moment a fan mistook her for still being pregnant.
“Had someone come up to me in the gym today and ask when I’m due…” she wrote alongside a workout selfie.
She added: “Slightly awkward for both of us when I said I had her 7 weeks ago.”
Fans flocked to reassure Isabel that it was perfectly normal.
One wrote: “Happened to me! Awkward! But I smiled! It was there for a very good reason.”
Another added: “Oh my goodness I’ve done that!! I was very embarrassed.”
