IRAN has vowed to unleash “devastating and widespread” attacks across the Middle East after Donald Trump’s expletive-laden warning.
A furious Trump issued a chilling threat on Easter Sunday as he said: “Open the f***ing Strait, you crazy b*****ds – or you’ll be living in hell”.
Tehran’s highest operational military command unit, Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said: “If attacks on civilian targets are repeated, the next stages of our offensive and retaliatory operations will be much more devastating and widespread.”
Trump has already signalled the US will unleash bombs on Iran’s power plants and crucial bridges if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed any longer.
The US president told Fox News last week: “If they don’t make a deal and fast, I’m considering blowing everything up and taking over the oil.”
Reopening the vital waterway has become Trump’s top priority since the IRGC started laying mines and firing missiles at oil tankers to block the 19-mile Strait.
Trump even gave Tehran a 48-hour ultimatum to unblock the passage and make a deal on Saturday.
He told the Islamic Republic’s leaders that “time is running out” but has now extended the deadline for another 24 hours.
