LEGENDARY manager Mircea Lucescu has been left in critical condition after his health took a turn for the worse due to severe heart problems.
Mircea, 80, suffered a heart attack on Friday, less than a week after he stepped down from his role as Romania boss after collapsing during a team meeting.

According to reports from Romania, cited by The Mail, the Romanian tactician has been battling severe arrhythmias, which can be life-threatening.
The University Hospital in Bucharest said the ex-Inter Milan boss was “stable” two days ago but reports from the capital now claim he could only have days to live.
The same sources claim Mircea has been placed into an induced coma as his condition worsened.
Doctors announced: “On Saturday, during the evening, the patient repeated significant cardiac arrhythmias, promptly treated by the cardiology department’s emergency team.
“On Sunday, during the night, the arrhythmias became severe and no longer responded to treatment. The patient’s condition worsened, requiring transfer to the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit.”
The former Shakhtar Donetsk manager’s family have rushed to be by his bedside.
Mircea’s wife Neli and granddaughter Marilu are reportedly present already.
The former Galatasaray boss’ son Razvan Lucescu, who has also become a successful manager himself at PAOK, is currently in Greece.
SunSport can reveal Razvan, 57, will be present for the Salonika giants’ play-off derby against Panathinaikos at Toumba Stadium tonight.
According to reports from Greece, though, the former Al-Hilal boss will fly to Bucharest to be by his father’s side immediately after full-time.
Mircea haș enjoyed an impressive career in coaching having competed in the Champions League with the likes of Inter, Galatasaray, Besiktas, Shakhtar and Dynamo Kiev.
The experienced head coach won the Uefa Cup with Shakhtar in 2009 as well.
Mircea also had two stints as Romania manager where he grew to prominence.
The Romanian national team issued an emotional statement in which they expressed their hope their beloved coach would “fight” and win.
The message read: “There are sometimes moments in football when the score on the table no longer matters, and the only victory we fight for is that of life.
“Today is one of those moments, and our thoughts, of all of us, go to the man who shaped destinies, built generations and put Romania on the big map of world football.
Another post added: “We are one team, one heart, and this heart beats for you today!
“We want to be able to transmit to you all the energy and strength you need. Fight, Mr. Lucescu!”
