PLUMBING experts have issued a warning over a gravy mistake that could cost you hundreds.
If you’re planning on serving gravy with your roast dinner this Easter, you might want to avoid this recipe for disaster.

Plumbing expert Danielle Robinson from Toolstation has revealed that pouring leftover gravy down the sink could end in costly repairs.
The common kitchen habit might seem harmless but it could block your household pipes.
She explained: “Tipping gravy down the sink can cause serious harm to your household pipes since once it cools the fats and oils solidify and create blockages – which can be costly to fix.”
The stubborn blockages can then cost you a fortune in plumbing repairs.
Instead, she advises wiping off leftover food and gravy, and binning the scraps before rinsing the plates.
It’s also recommended to avoid pouring fats or oils down the drain.
Other festive favourites can also cause the same problem, especially if they contain custard or cream.
These can thicken in pipes and create serious build-ups over time.
If your sink is already struggling, don’t panic.
For smaller clogs, Danielle recommends using a suitable drain unblocker — but warns you need the right type.
In the kitchen, you should go for a product designed to break down grease and fats, rather than general-purpose cleaners.
