It was one occasion when Harry Potter star Emma Watson could have done with the Hogwarts invisibility cloak.
The actress seemed to go to extreme lengths to avoid being photographed with Jay Shetty, a former monk and now lifestyle guru, after the pair enjoyed dinner in LA last week.
I hear the actress used a different exit to Shetty as they left the expensive Hollywood restaurant.
My eagle-eyed onlooker tells me that Jay and Emma even ‘swapped cars’ to bamboozle photographers waiting outside the trendy spot.
Jay, the British podcaster and author of Think Like A Monk, was seen looking after Emma’s dog, Sofia, in a display of manly chivalry. But why all the smoke and mirrors?
It appears that Emma, 35, who is a PhD student at Oxford, has struck up a close friendship with the celebrity life coach, who spouts self-help advice to his 18.5million Instagram followers.
It’s not the first time Emma and Jay have been spotted together – my spies also saw them arriving at Beyoncé and Jay Z’s Oscar party: And in September, Emma appeared on Jay’s podcast, On Purpose With Jay Shetty, where the pair discussed her love-life.
Since 2016, Jay has been married to Radhi Devlukia, an influencer with a podcast called A Really Good Cry. Meanwhile, Emma was seen kissing Mexican billionaire Gonzalo Hevia Bailleres in March at his hometown airport.

Jameela has the lowdown about J-Lo
Hollywood star Jennifer Lopez is renowned for her diva ways – but her demands before a Channel 4 interview stunned the show’s presenter.
Jameela Jamil, reminiscing about her days as an interviewer, said the star was kind and polite, but that her team ‘asked for 36 Jo Malone candles. I was like are we going to barbecue her?’
Following the chat, J-Lo’s staff swiped all the candles. Jameela believes she was using her rider for ‘Christmas presents.’

You April fool, Trinny
No one was taken in more on April Fools Day than Trinny Woodall.
The star received a text from a friend: ‘I wouldn’t normally snitch on Lyla, but she’s done something really bad this time…’ and sent a picture of a tattoo that read ‘BUNNY.’

Zoe’s wish
She stepped down from her Radio 2 Saturday show at the end of last year, and now, with a bit more time on her hands, Zoe Ball seems to be thinking about the future-where she wants her family to spread her ashes when she dies!
‘The location might come as a surprise to some. I quite like the idea of some of my friends taking my ashes to Glastonbury,’ says Zoe, 55, at the music festival.
‘That is the place I’ve had the most fun with my friends, with my kids. I love that place!’

£295 bee hotel? That stings…
After selling his honey for £25 a pop, I hear King Charles is selling bee hotels at his Norfolk estate’s gift shop.
Crafted from red cedar, the £295 Highgrove Insect Hotel is a miniature replica of His Majesty’s residence, Highgrove House. The hotel is billed as ‘a safe haven for solitary bees, ladybirds, and butterflies.’
I wonder if the King’s pal and beekeeper David Beckham has one?
