She’s earned herself a new legion of fans with her Netflix hit, Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen.
The horror series has rocketed to the top of the charts in recent days and stars Camila Morrone as a bride-to-be in the run-up to her wedding.
Aptly titled, it refers to the overwhelmingly ominous feeling throughout the series.
Yet while she’s made a name for herself with Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen, for Camila the opposite saying has been true in her rise to fame.
It was almost destined that Camila would find fame, having grown up in Beverly Hills surrounded by Hollywood A-listers.
The actress, 28, is the daughter of Argentinian actors Maximo Morrone and Lucila Solá, who moved to Los Angeles shortly before she was born.

Her parents divorced in 2006, with Lucila soon embarking on a four-year relationship with Hollywood legend Al Pacino, who Camila still refers to as her stepfather to this day.
Rubbing shoulders with A-listers became a daily occurrence for Camila, who previously said that spotting icons like Brad Pitt in her local cafe was somewhat ‘normal’.
She has since built up an A-list girl squad made up of Hailey Bieber, Kaia Gerber and Suki Waterhouse, all of whom she calls her ‘besties’.
Aside from her famous family connection, Camila is best known as the ex-love of movie star Leonardo DiCaprio, 51.
Camila, who is 23 years younger than Leonardo, was first introduced to the actor in 2008 when she was just 12 years old, through Al – a longtime friend of Leonardo’s.
The Revenant star reportedly remained close with Camila’s family for years before their romantic relationship began a decade later.
The former lovebirds were together for four years before calling it quits in 2022 – just two months after she turned 25.
The actress is now in a relationship with Cole Bennett, 29, who is rumoured to have a huge net worth due to his highly successful career as a music video director and record executive.
But Camila says she has fought hard to get to the place she is now.
Reflecting on her past decade, Camila said she feels ‘really proud’ of where she has come, adding it ‘wasn’t her reality ten years ago’.
Despite attending LA’s prestigious Beverly Hills High School, Camila said she watched her parents struggle to put food on the table which nearly made her avoid a career in acting entirely.
She told the Los Angeles Times: ‘I saw them struggle their whole lives to be financially independent actors, and seeing them go through that, I was kind of turned off to it.
‘There was so much angst around acting, and it was such a topic of conversation — never knowing where your next paycheck is going to come from. I thought: “I’m going to go to college. I’m going to have a normal 9-to-5 job.”
‘And of course, I ended up exactly like them.’

Camila got her start as a model, and transitioned into an acting career; her first film role was in 2013 in the project Bukowski.
She went on to appear in the action film Death Wish, as well as the independent movies Never Goin’ Back and Mickey and the Bear.
In 2023 she scored an Emmy nomination for her work as Camila Dunne in the series Daisy Jones & The Six, a series that aired on Amazon Prime.
She is being praised for her work now in Something Very Good Is Going To Happen, which has an 86 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The new miniseries was created by Haley Z. Boston, with Stranger Things‘ bosses the Duffer Brothers serving as executive producers.
The cast also includes Oscar-nominated actress Jennifer Jason Leigh and Silence of the Lambs star Ted Levine.
While Camila was already known by some due to her highly publicised romance with Leonardo, she revealed rather than hanging onto his name, it spurred her to prove herself as an actress.
‘When you’re an actor people will always find things about your personal life,’ Camila said in an interview with The Times.
‘Perhaps with projects that will change, but it’s something that comes with the territory. Having grown up in Hollywood, I was around it. I was around celebrities. It’s normal [for people] living in LA to see Brad Pitt at the coffee shop, you know?’
At the time, a source told E! News that distance played a major role in their split, citing the pair’s demanding travel schedules and career commitments.
Another insider told The Sun that there were ‘no bad feelings between them,’ adding that the relationship simply ‘came to a natural conclusion’.
Another notable role was that of Camila Dunne in the series Daisy Jones & The Six, a series that aired on Amazon Prime.
It was where she struck up a friendship with actress Suki, both of whom have become inseparable and even attended Adele’s birthday together.
Rhode founder Hailey is another A-lister in Camila’s circle.
The girlfriends spent last summer travelling at sea on a yacht with model Kaia, which Camila plastered across her Instagram with sunset pictures.

Speaking about her friendship group, Camila said: ‘I love my girls. Suki Waterhouse is one of my best friends and we became like sisters.
‘But it’s hard to keep up with these women who have these grand lives. Suki’s on tour, Kaia’s doing multiple projects, Hailey Bieber is, you know, raising a family and a multibillion-dollar business.’
Thanks to her star-studded contacts list, Camila knew the director of The Night Manager and reached out to beg for a role in season two of the hit show.
She said: ‘I do that with no shame. I will harass a director via email and send a love story about what I feel about a character.
‘When I knew they were casting season two, I asked if there were any female roles and they were reading women a little older than me in their mid-thirties.
‘When I heard they were looking for a Latin character I was like, you guys, come on, this is written for me!’
The show, starring Tom Hiddleston and adapted from the late John Le Carré’s 1993 novel, was an instant hit following its initial release in 2016.
Camila has filled the shoes previously worn by Elizabeth Debicki, who played leading man Tom’s love interest before winning her role as Diana, Princess of Wales in The Crown.
