JOACHIM LOW has refuted claims that he is set to take over as Ghana head coach.
The German tactician, who won the 2014 World Cup while managing his homeland, was linked with a move to the Black Stars earlier this week.
The African nation sacked manager Otto Addo after his side’s 2-1 loss to Germany on Tuesday, despite leading them to World Cup qualification.
Ghana topped their CAF World Cup Qualifying group, meaning the 2026 edition will be their fifth ever trip to the tournament.
But patience with Addo, 50, ran out after a string of poor results including losses to Japan, South Korea and a 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Austria last week.
But now they must find a replacement boss on short notice, and it seems Low, 66, will not be the one to fill the gap.
When he was asked by Sky Sports Germany about linking up with the Black Stars, Low said: “No one from Ghana has officially spoken to me.”
Low spent 15 years as Germany boss between 2006 and 2021.
But he has been out of a job since, having stepped down following England‘s elimination of his side in the Euro 2020 Round of 16.
The apparent managerial turbulence in the camp will suit England fans down to the ground.

The Three Lions will come up against Ghana on June 23rd in their second game in Group L.
Thomas Tuchel‘s men will have already played Croatia six days earlier, and a loss could make Ghana a do-or-die match for the German.
And with just 80 days between now and kick off, the pressure is on to make the right appointment as soon as possible.
