AN 84-year-old woman has died after she was stabbed to death with her alleged son now charged with murder.

Met Police officers had been called to Red Lion Place just before 9am where Doris Innes, 84, was found with serious injuries outside her home.
She was rushed to hospital to receive treatment but, despite the best efforts of medics, she tragically died.
Two other people were threatened with a knife close to the scene but didn’t receive any injuries, police said.
A 62-year-old man was arrested shortly after the attack on Wednesday after he attended a nearby policestation.
Cops took the suspect to hospital where he is receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Giorgio Pin, of nearby Brookhill Road, has since been charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.
He will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, April 4.
Specialist officers are continuing to support Ms Innes’ family.
Forensic officers were spotted at the scene yesterday as a probe into the death got underway.
Detective Inspector Dean Grice, who is leading the Met’s investigation, said at the time that the case was “a deeply tragic incident.”
He added: “Our thoughts remain firmly with the victim’s family during this difficult time.”
“A prompt and coordinated investigation has now been launched to establish the full circumstances and specialist officers are continuing to support the family throughout.”
Detective Superintendent James Derham, who leads policing in the local area, said: “At this stage, we believe that this was an isolated incident and I want to reassure the community that there is no wider risk to the public.”
