THE Prime Minister is under pressure to extend the fuel duty cut as pump prices soar ahead of the Easter Weekend.

The pressure comes after it emerged that the Government has raked in an additional £67million in VAT since the Iran war began — while motorists have paid an extra £402million at the pumps.

Families heading off for the Easter getaway are being warned they must now shell out an average of 185.23p per litre to fill up their diesel cars.

And, earlier this week, some drivers were paying £2 for a litre of diesel as prices spike reach highs last seen after Russia‘s invasion of Ukraine.

Long lines of cars have begun to form at the country’s cheapest petrol stations as savvy motorists hunt for the best prices.

So, have you stocked up on petrol ahead of the Easter weekend? Have your say in our exclusive poll.
