Alongside them Hollywood star Kumail Nanjiani and The Thick of It’s Armando Iannucci will also be joining the cast.
Alex recently let slip some of the hilarious antics that are set to take place on the new season.
Speaking to Radio Times, he said: “There is a moment involving Kumail Nanjiani, I don’t want to give much away, but he gives a lot away about what he does by himself in his hotel room.
“So that’s what you’ve got to tune in for.
“He surprised himself by what he revealed, and I was sat next to him, and it’s a big moment. It’s a never-before-seen Taskmaster moment.”
The last main season of Taskmaster was won by Maisie Adam, who is currently appearing in the second season of Jimmy Carr’s Last One Laughing UK alongside Amy.
Speaking of the new deal, Alex, the show’s creator said: “I’m pleased and quite stressed that I’ve got to come up with a lot more tasks for a lot more comedians but the thought of three more years in Greg’s deep embrace is soothing my little head”.
Taskmaster, Greg added: “I am delighted the comedian meat grinder remains open for business.
“I look forward to gleefully keeping it fed with the help of a small, introverted man that I own.”
Tom Beck, Head of Live Events and Commissioning Editor, added: “Taskmaster is the most creative, funny and frankly ludicrous show on telly; I’m delighted to enable their silly brilliance for another three years”.
All series of Taskmaster will continue to be available to stream for free on Channel 4.
