LORNA Luxe has revealed the heartbreaking notes that were left by her late husband John before his death – and the list of people she’s “not allowed to date.”
The influencer, who has nearly two million followers on Instagram, shot to fame posting travel and chic fashion content on the platform.
Lorna has previously credited her late husband John for helping to build her career as one of the first influencers to make a living from social media.
But in February this year, John Andrews sadly died aged 64 after a long battle with oesophagus and adrenal cancer.
In her first interview since his death, Lorna has told The Times how one of John’s parting gifts for her was leaving notes for her to find comfort in after his passing.
She said: “When I started to go through John’s phone for his passwords, as he told me to, he’d left these short, sweet, beautiful notes.”
One of the notes Lorna discovered lists the names of people she’s not allowed to date in the future.
Lorna added: “I’m not going to name names, but it’s funny.”
The social media star has also opened up on John’s final weeks.
“Watching someone die is probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” she confessed.
“Dying is an effort. The body fights it — it’s not an easy, relaxing, passing-into-sleep thing. Even John’s breathing was a real chore to the very last moment.
“It wasn’t anything like you see in the films — I’d imagined me nattering away to him until the last minute and him squeezing my hand. But this was slow and sad.”
John, who was 21 years Lorna’s senior, was introduced to her through mutual friends in a bar in Brighton when she was 25 and he was 46.
The couple married in New York a year later.
They previously said their age difference was “never a factor” in their relationship.
The pair were married for 16 years and lived together in a £2.5 million home in Warwickshire, where Lorna runs her three businesses.
John’s cancer was initially diagnosed as stage three but it developed to stage four while he was undergoing treatment: he later went into remission in 2023.
But in May 2024, it returned, spreading to his brain.
Tragically, just before Christmas, he was rushed back to hospital with organ failure, following a complication with his chemotherapy treatment.
After being told to prepare for the worst, Lorna broke the sad news to her followers saying: “My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken.
“We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands which is exactly what he wanted.
“The last conversation we had I asked him how he was feeling and he replied ‘rough but in love’ and that was so him, to the point and choosing to put aside his fears to make me feel cherished and loved.”
