President Donald Trump ended days of pent-up molten anger with the lack of support America has received from NATO in the war with Iran by saying that leaving the alliance to fend for itself is now on the table.
“Beyond not being there, it was actually hard to believe. And I didn’t do a big sale. I just said, ‘Hey’, you know, I didn’t insist too much. I just think it should be automatic,” Trump said, according to the Telegraph.
“We’ve been there automatically, including Ukraine. Ukraine wasn’t our problem. It was a test, and we were there for them, and we would always have been there for them. They weren’t there for us.”
France, Italy, Spain & more just blocked our military flights for the Iran war.
They don’t want us there? Perfect.
President Trump — bring our troops AND our nukes HOME from these failing NATO countries NOW.
Soon they’ll be Islamic nations anyway — they CANNOT have our nukes.

With NATO having rejected request after request to open the Strait of Hormuz, Trump responded to a question about whether he would pull out of the alliance formed to stop Soviet aggression after World War II by saying, “Oh yes, I would say [it’s] beyond reconsideration. I was never swayed by Nato. I always knew they were a paper tiger, and Putin knows that too, by the way.”
Trump slammed British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, saying “All Starmer wants is costly windmills that are driving your energy prices through the roof.”
Starmer was not moved, and said, speaking of the Iran conflict, “This is not our war, and we’re not going to get dragged into it.”
On Tuesday, Trump said NATO can get the oil its nations need on its own.
SECRETARY RUBIO: The U.S. is constantly asked to help in wars and we have. But when we had a need, it didn’t get positive responses from NATO. A couple leaders said that Iran was not Europe’s war. Well, Ukraine isn’t our war, yet we’ve contributed more to that fight than anyone. pic.twitter.com/AEDMLBbLFQ

“All of those countries that can’t get jet fuel because of the Strait of Hormuz, like the United Kingdom, which refused to get involved in the decapitation of Iran, I have a suggestion for you,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“Number 1, buy from the U.S., we have plenty, and Number 2, build up some delayed courage, go to the Strait, and just TAKE IT.
“You’ll have to start learning how to fight for yourself, the U.S.A. won’t be there to help you anymore, just like you weren’t there for us. Iran has been, essentially, decimated. The hard part is done. Go get your own oil! President DJT.”
On Monday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio called the obstruction of American allies by nations such as Spain banning military planes from transiting their airspace “very disappointing,” according comments posted by the State Department.
🚨 SECRETARY RUBIO: If NATO is just about us defending Europe if they’re attacked, but them denying us basing rights when we need them, then that’s not a very good arrangement.
That’s a hard one to stay engaged in and say this is good for the United States. pic.twitter.com/C3IsTXQYnW

“I’ve been a big supporter of NATO and one of the reasons why I’ve been a supporter of NATO is because I believe that these basing rights give us leverage and give us flexibility in operational capability all over the world,” Rubio said.
“But if NATO is just about us defending Europe if they’re attacked but then denying us basing rights when we need them, that’s not a very good arrangement.
“That’s a hard one to stay engaged in and say this is good for the United States. So all of that is going to have to be reexamined. All of it’s going to have to be reexamined.”
