GAELIC FOOTBALL team Armagh abruptly abandoned their training camp after discovering it had been prepared for Manchester United.
United are due to arrive at Carton House in county Kildare on Monday for a four-day training camp that will also coincide with the announcement of a pre-season friendly in Dublin.

Armagh turned up at five-star resort Carton House on Friday yet discovered that the training pitches had been prepared for association football, rather than Gaelic football.
After Armagh were unable to agree with the hotel to re-line the pitches, the squad upped sticks and left the premises without staying for a single night.
Several football teams have used Carton House in the past.
Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Everton, Burnley, England and Northern Ireland have all been based there for training camps.
United are heading over the Irish Sea for a change of scenery amid an inordinate 24-day gap between games.
Due to their failure to qualify for Europe, elimination from the FA Cup in the third round by Brighton and the Monday night scheduling of their next fixture against Leeds United at home, United have three successive weekends without a match.
United also have another home Monday-night fixture against Brentford later on in April.
The club have had four Monday evening Premier League matches already this season.

United tried to keep their stay at Carton House under wraps but with such a fervent support base in Ireland their destination quickly emerged last week.
