A MAJOR supermarket has slashed the price of vegetables in the lead up to Easter.
Shoppers can pick up select fresh produce, including potatoes, carrots, and onions, for just 8p this week.

Originally announced at 15p, Aldi’s Easter Super Six deal has now been confirmed for just 8p this week.
The supermarket is offering the “cheapest Easter veggies” in the lead up to Sunday, including potatoes, carrots and parsnips.
This impressive deal will be available from Tuesday, March 31 to Sunday, April 5.
Shoppers can save up to 94% on their vegetables this Easter with these further reductions.
The following fresh produce is included in the Easter Super Six offer:
- Nature’s Pick British White Potatoes (8p, 2kg) – was £1.32, saving 94%
- Nature’s Pick British Carrots (8p, 1kg) – was 69p, saving 88%
- Nature’s Pick XL Garlic (8p, each) – was 39p, saving 79%
- Nature’s Pick Brown Onions (8p, 1kg) – was 99p, saving 92%
- Nature’s Pick British Swede (8p, each) – was 62p, saving 87%
- Nature’s Pick British Parsnips (8p, 500g) – was 74p, saving 89%
With these low prices, a family of four can enjoy a classic roast dinner this Easter for less than £8.
The supermarket is currently offering a Whole Leg of Lamb at just £5.95 per kilogram, as well as Bramwells Mint Sauce at just 59p.
And you can even top your roast off with Quixo For Meat Gravy Granules, available for 99p, while staying in this budget.
Alongside the classic potatoes, carrots, and parnsips, this meal will set you back a total of £7.77, breaking down to just £1.94 per person.
Aldi’s Cheapest Lamb offer is available in stores from today, while the Super Six deal will follow tomorrow.
The offer comes after Aldi boss Giles Hurley announced the supermarket will not be beaten on Easter veg prices.
“Aldi partners with British growers and uses fixed-cost pricing to ensure they receive a fair price, no matter the season,” a statement from the supermarket read.
“This commitment allows Aldi to offer shoppers the best savings without compromising on quality or fairness.”
SUPPORTING BRITISH FARMERS
BRITISH farmers face the toughest conditions in decades, and they need our support now.
Last year, record drought and extreme heat cost farmers £800million in lost production.
Then came one of the wettest winters on record, with flooded fields destroying autumn crops and delaying spring planting.
Since 2020, three of the five worst harvests on record have taken place, leaving many farmers wondering if they can keep going.
As the National Farmers’ Union has warned, extreme weather is hammering both crops and income, adding to the already significant financial pressures. But there’s good news: spring is here, and with it comes fresh British-grown produce hitting the supermarket shelves.
This is our chance to show farmers we’re behind them.
At ALDI, we’ve always stood by British farmers.
Around 75 per cent of our sales come from UK-based suppliers, including family firms like WARRENDALE WAGYU and fruit growers like AC GOATHAM.
We have signed multi-million-pound, long-term contracts to buy their produce for years ahead.
Our goal is to secure at least half of our homegrown supply through long-term contracts by 2027. These relationships don’t rely on weather or profit; they are built for the future.
This gives farmers a steady income and it guarantees fair prices, enabling British growers to invest in their land and plan ahead with confidence.
We’re supporting the best of British through our Easter range including everything from hot cross buns to our Specially Selected British Beef Roasting Joint.
This Easter, as families sit down together, I’m asking shoppers to look for British where they can.
Choosing home-grown produce helps farmers to weather the storm and keeps our countryside thriving. Because when British farming succeeds, we all win.
