JEDWARD star John Grimes has revealed why he decided to reunite with his ex-girlfriend on Celebrity Ex On The Beach.
The newest series of the popular programme begins this week, which sees celebs come face-to-face with their former flames in a remote tropical location.
John found himself taking a trip down memory lane when he saw his ex-girlfriend Sarah Carragher wash up on shore in the hit Paramount+ show.
Speaking with the Daily Mail on his decision to rekindle things with her, John noted how they were both now in a different place and felt they could give things another shot.
John said: “It was a really good feeling because we always got along even after we weren’t together.
“She has tried dating different people and so did I, but then at the same time you don’t know all you had until they’re gone.
“I know it’s a classic saying, but then you realise that she’s come all the way out here [to Tenerife where the show is filmed] and she’s taken time off work to be here, so that speaks volumes for me.”
The star continued to share how he felt going on the reality dating show had helped him and Sarah to deal with some regrets they had in their love life.
John shared: “I’m sure a lot of my exes have regrets for not doing enough to keep me around, you know, I’m a keeper,” he joked.
“I think going on this show dealt with those love life regrets though because it gave me the chance to be reunited with an ex and then go about it differently in the way that you possibly didn’t before.
“So you put yourself in the right space to go, well, I’m in a different place in my life and maybe I didn’t make the moves that I needed to or put a label on it back then. So now here I am, going back differently.”
John hard launched his reunion with Sarah on Jedward‘s official Instagram account last week.
He posted two adorable photos of himself and Sarah standing in front of the iconic Tower Bridge ahead of the Celeb Ex on the Beach launch party.
The beautiful brunette rested her hand on John’s chest while he wrapped his around her waist.
The happy couple beamed at the camera, with both dressed up to the nines in sparkles.
John wore a pair of silver sequin trousers with a matching black jacket with silver accent details.
Meanwhile, his girlfriend wore a pretty pastel blue dress with large round sequins clinging to the skirt.
Penned sweetly in the caption, John romantically said: “Here’s to a new chapter and making memories with the best girl xxx.”
Fans of the star rushed to the post’s comments section to share their congratulations and wish the pair lots of happiness.

John’s time on Celeb Ex On The Beach has marked his first professional project away from his twin brother.
