Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien has spilled her beauty regime secrets, admitting ‘it’s so embarrassingly low key that it’s almost non-existent.’
The actress has been plugging collagen supplements on Instagram, but admitted in one of the ads that the real reason behind her youthful appearance is her love of sleep.
‘I’m turning 43 this year and sometimes people say to me, “what beauty regimes are you using?” And the truth is, it’s so embarrassingly low key that it’s almost non-existent,’ she confessed in the Insta video.
‘You’d think that working on television that I would have an amazing 10 step routine by now, but sadly, I don’t.’
‘But the things that I really do swear by are very, very simple. I’m obsessed with sleep and I need a minimum of 8 hours, but ideally I love to get 10.’
Sarah, who was 16 when she joined Coronation Street in 1999, added in the caption: ‘I’ve never followed a regimented skincare routine. Instead I swear by three simple things: Eight hours sleep. Drinking lots of water. And the main one..collagen.’

Tina has been through a tough time in recent months, following the heartbreaking death of her father and a breakup.
The soap actress shared a post on Instagram late last year, explaining why she had been absent from social media for a while.
‘I’ve been a little quiet on here. My dad recently died. I haven’t quite known how to put it into words,’ she told fans in the post, which was accompanied by the poignant Cat Stevens song Father And Son.
‘My heart is very heavy, but I’m grateful he is no longer suffering. Thank you to everyone who’s held me steady through this difficult time.
‘I love you. You mean the world to me. xx’
Tina, who is known for playing Sarah Platt, split from her millionaire interior designer ex, Adam Fadlé, 38, in November 2025.
The former couple went public with their romance over the summer when they attended her Corrie co-star Jack P Shepherd’s wedding in July.
However, insiders told Daily Mail that she ended the romance after admitting it ‘wasn’t going anywhere’ and that she didn’t want to invest energy in something ‘that was never going to last’.

Friends claimed her blunt assessment left Adam ‘stunned’, as he believed the relationship had real potential and relished the time they spent together.
Tina was firm about the split, removing all photos of the couple from her Instagram, including snaps from a romantic September holiday to Greece, making it clear the whirlwind fling had ended.
The relationship came just months after the collapse of her seven-year marriage to ex-husband Adam Crofts, with whom she shares son Beau, 11, with the pair reportedly parting ways over Christmas 2024.
As well as Beau, Tina is mum to budding actress and singer daughter, Scarlett, 17, co-parenting with her Corrie co-star ex Ryan Thomas.
Scarlett is following in her parents’ footsteps. She first appeared on TV in 2023 in BBC drama Waterloo Road, playing Izzy – the screen daughter of her real-life uncle Adam Thomas, 37.

Her famous family connections don’t end there, as her other uncle is Love Island’s Scott Thomas, 37.
Despite her blossoming acting career, her father, Ryan previously insisted his ‘nepo baby’ daughter is ‘not getting a free ride’.
As well as making waves on screens, she also has a prominent social media presence and is predicted to earn up to £2million before her 18th birthday.
