AN Emmerdale star has left the ITV show after 12 years in emotional scenes.
The soap suffered a schedule change this week due to sport fixtures, which meant Emmerdale and Coronation Street aired tonight instead.
The episode saw Tracy Robinson – played by Amy Walsh – leave the village with daughter Frankie.
Earlier in the week, Tracy had revealed to sister Vanessa Woodfield that the calls she had been having were with her late spouse Nate’s mum.
Cara, who returned to Emmerdale last year for Nate’s funeral, had offered her daughter-in-law a new life away from the Yorkshire village, complete with a job and home.
Tonight’s episode saw Tracy pack up her final few bits and tell a sad Vanessa she needed to escape the village for a while as it carried too many sad memories for her.
She then hopped into a van but not before saying a final goodbye to Cain, Nate’s dad and Frankie’s granddad.
They shared a hug before Cain gave Frankie a cuddle and told her he’d visit soon once they were settled and after he’d had his surgery.
Tracy and Frankie then headed out of the village for their new life with Cara.
Off-screen, the plotline ties in with Amy’s maternity leave after she gave birth to her second child.
Amy, 38, welcomed her daughter with husband Toby-Alexander Smith earlier this month.
Amy shared a sweet black and white photo of her newborn daughter’s feet, while dressed in a cute baby grow with flowers on it.
She captioned it: “This time last week I was heading into established labour.
“We’ve been in the most magical bubble ever since.”
The real-life soap couple are already parents to their daughter Bonnie, who they welcomed into the world in 2022.
The pair got engaged in Ibiza during a romantic getaway in August 2023 before tying the knot in a star-studded ceremony in front of family and friends in Montenegro the following month.
