Westbridge Furniture Limited and Belfield Leisure Limited, who are both part of The Belfield Group, have called in administrators on March 23.

Chris Pole and Will Wright from Interpath have been appointed to take control of both firms and explore rescue options.

Belfield Leisure Limited, based in Ilkeston, employs around 200 people while Westbridge Furniture Limited, in Flintshire, has about 300 staff.

Both companies manufacture and supply furniture and soft furnishings, but have been hit hard by recent trading conditions.

The businesses were only incorporated in February 2025, but Westbridge quickly suffered operational disruption.

The pressure piled up as the firm lost a key customer and experienced weak trading in 2025.

Despite cost-cutting measures and efforts to bring in fresh investment, the business failed to break even and was forced to call in administrators.

Interpath says the firms will continue trading, completing existing orders while searching for a buyer.

Chris Pole, managing director at Interpath and joint administrator, said: “Unfortunately, and despite the best efforts of management to secure funding, this has not been possible, which has sadly resulted in the Companies going into administration.

“As we start to explore options for both businesses, our immediate intention is to trade the Belfield Leisure business as a going concern, as well as maintaining operations at Westbridge for a period as we fulfil work already in progress.”
