A WOMAN who ditched the UK for an unexpected city has revealed she is now raking in the cash as a teacher.
Laura took to social media to share a glimpse into her life now she has moved to China.
In the video, she said: “Privileges I can afford in China that I could never afford in the UK on a teacher’s salary.”
While working as a teacher in the UK can give you an average salary of £35,000, in China, the money works even harder.
Laura went on to list all of the essentials and luxuries she can now afford while working in a school that wouldn’t be possible in the UK.
She said: “I live alone in a 3-bedroom apartment with a garden in an expensive area of Shenzhen.”

Shenzhen is the richest city in China as it is the hub of technology.
Laura added that she was able to eat out most days and get taxis daily without worrying about her bank balance.
The teacher also revealed she was able to go to five foreign countries a year on holiday and has a cleaner who regularly keeps her home in check.
And that’s not all, Laura is also able to treat herself to regular self-care appointments.
She revealed she got a hair wash and blow dry once a week, her nails done every three weeks and could attend regular pilates classes.
The clip went viral on her TikTok account @laura_explaura with over 173k views and 8,100 likes.
Many took to the comments to share their thoughts.
One person wrote: “I’ve just come back from being a teacher in South Korea and I’m seriously thinking about going to China with my friend…”
Another commented: “Two of my friends have moved to Shanghai and they both absolutely love it… it’s got me thinking.”
“LOVED my time in China. Beautiful country,” penned a third.
