CRAIG BELLAMY got involved in a sensational touchline bust-up with fellow Manchester City icon Edin Dzeko as Wales fell agonisingly short of keeping their World Cup dreams alive.
The Dragons suffered a gut-wrenching penalty shootout defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina in their play-off semi-final.
It was Dzeko, 40, who notched the late leveller to take the showdown to extra-time.
The striker cancelled out Daniel James’ stunning opener – but he was still throwing himself about after being subbed.
Dzeko got involved in a heated row with Wales chief Bellamy as tensions flared.
The pair had to be separated and members of Bosnia’s backroom staff were also pulled away as the fourth official desperately tried to restore order.
Fans raced onto social media when they spotted former Man City team-mates Bellamy, 46, and Dzeko nearly coming to blows in the second half of extra-time.
One said: “Utter carnage at the Cardiff City Stadium. Bosnian bench apoplectic that the the game wasn’t stopped for Amar Dedic’s latest round of cramp.
“Edin Dzeko in a different postcode to his side’s technical area. He starts gesturing to Craig Bellamy that he’ll see him later. Bedlam.”
Another added: “Craig Bellamy clashing with Edin Dzeko. Like a scene from the Etihad campus in 2011.”

A third chimed in: “Dzeko scrapping with Bellamy was not on my bingo card, they were only team-mates for about six months.”
And a fourth noted: “Dzeko needs to watch himself. Bellamy will knock him out!”
Dzeko headed to Man City as Bellamy’s replacement in January 2011 and he ended up having the last laugh in Cardiff.
Crystal Palace’s £35million winger Brennan Johnson and Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams missed from the spot in the shootout – handing Bosnia a 4-2 win on penalties.
They will now face Italy – who beat Northern Ireland – in the play-off final with a last-gasp spot at the World Cup up for grabs.
Bellamy admitted during his post-match press conference that breaks in play and disagreements on the touchline played into Bosnia’s hands.
The former marksman said: “It got chaotic and that was the bit we didn’t want with this team.
“We allowed the chaos to creep in for 20 minutes and tried to see the game out. We’re not built that way, we don’t play that way.
“We have to keep the ball. I just couldn’t quite get that message on. I do understand – it’s a play-off and they had four centre forwards on the pitch at one stage.”
