A MAN, 21, is fighting for his life after a horror crash that killed three of his best friends.
Police were called to Keighley Road, in Illingworth, at around 6.50pm on March 18.
The tragic collision at the junction of Cobblestones Drive involved a Ford Fiesta, a BMW and a stationary Renault Clio.
Two men aged 22, and a 21-year-old, who were in the Fiesta, sadly died at the scene.
The victims were named as Corey Graham, Cass Bryant, and Thomas Reilly as tributes poured in.
Paramedics also rushed a 21-year-old who was in the same car to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A fundraiser has now been launched to help support the youngster – who has been named as Spencer.
Spencer suffered “catastrophic injuries” and is still undergoing life-saving operations.
Andrew Raby, a close friend of Spencer’s family, wrote: “Earlier this week, many people saw the heartbreaking news of a devastating road traffic collision in West Yorkshire that took the lives of three young men who were all the closest of friends.
“We are sending our deepest love and condolences to their families and friends who are facing an unimaginable loss.
“A fourth young man, Spencer, aged just 21, is now fighting for his life in intensive care.
“Spencer has suffered catastrophic injuries and continues to undergo life saving treatment and surgery.
“Only days ago he was a fit, healthy young man with his whole life ahead of him. Now he faces a long, uncertain and incredibly difficult journey.”
Mr Raby said the emotional impact has been “overwhelming” for the family – who now also fear the financial pressure of supporting Spencer’s recovery and rehabilitation.
The Just Giving page has so far seen more than £24,000 raised and any more than the £30,000 goal will be donated to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Influencer Middle Name Mason has also shown his support after sharing how his friends sadly lost their lives in the tragedy.
The creator was worlds away from his usual light-hearted comedy skits and lifestyle posts as he shared the sad news with fans.
Middle Name Mason, whose real name is Eli, broke down in his car as told his 820,000 TikTok followers that “life can change in the blink of an eye.”
Holding back tears, he said: “On Wednesday night something absolutely f*****g horrific accident happened and it involved four of my friends – three of them f*****g tragically died and one of them is still fighting for his life in hospital.
“I just wanted to make this video to make people realise that your life can just f*****g change like that. I never thought I’d be sat here making a video about how some of my friends have died.”
It comes as West Yorkshire Police detained a 37-year-old man and two women aged 18 and 32, all from Halifax, who were in the BMW involved in the crash.
They have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
