LOVE Island All Star Carrington Rodriguez has claimed two former best pals have secretly fallen out.
Speaking with villa star Tyrique Hyde on his online stream, American hunk Carrington urged Scott van-der-Sluis and Whitney Adebayo to “kiss and make up”.
Scott is in a relationship with Leanne Amaning, whose own friendship with Whitney appeared to become strained in the latest series.
Tyrique said show stars had to take more responsibility for their relationships and not blame issues on fan dynamics amid online swipes between Whitney and Leanne’s fan bases since the show ended.
He said: “There’s people’s stans that don’t like each other but it’s down to the people involved to squash that and talk it out.
“Who’s the people that’s beefing, Carrington?”
Carrington answered: “I think the lovely Whitney and the lovely Scott need to kiss and make up.”
His pal echoed the sentiment, saying: “I agree.”
The American added: “I think online when it comes to Belle [Hassan] people need to chill out. Scott and Belle didn’t work out, that’s fine. Leanne and Belle are friends. Let’s come together, let’s have peace in the world.”
Some viewers felt Carrington should have explained the fallout in more detail.
“He couldn’t even tell the truth about why they are not friends, had to go blame it on fans/each base,” wrote one on X.
“Scott watched Whit (his best friend) say he wasn’t genuine, And Leanne deserved Karma!… Also the way she dragged them on her sister’s Podcast…”
Another said: “Leanne fans don’t like Whitney fans and vice versa and it’s not by force we like each other. Same with Leanne and Whitney, it’s not by force for them to be friends. Let Whitney be, she doesn’t need any of this bad energy from that fan base.”
There were signs in the villa that cracks had appeared in Leanne and Whitney’s friendship.
During her brief time apart from Scott, Leanne kissed Whit’s man Yamen, while Whit told Scott he’d make a better match with American girl Sher.
On the Morning After podcast following the final, fans noticed Whitney didn’t namecheck Leanne when she said which villa stars she was friends with.
There was also a podcast episode where Whitney and sister Liz discussed her advice to Scott, with the latter insisting her sibling was just being honest.
Whitney and Scott became good pals on the summer series in 2023, with Whitney affectionately nicknaming Scott Scottisha.
Whitney, her ex Lochan Nowacki, and Scott would often hang out after their time in the villa, and Scott sided with Whit after the couple’s bitter split last April.
