TOWIE star Sophie Kasaei has revealed her desire to have a second baby as soon as possible – and how she’ll cope if faced with another fertility battle.
Sophie joined her former Geordie Shore co-star Holly Hagan-Blyth for the launch of their new MTV Reality UK podcast Shall We?.
The pair were talking about geriatric pregnancies when Sophie admitted she is desperate to add to her family.
“You were born in ’89 weren’t you?” Holly asked.
Sophie replied: “I’ve just turned 36, yes, so I’m gonna have this child when I’m 36 still.
“I’m gonna go again – hopefully. I know what do now. If we do struggle, I know there’s stuff out there.
“So I’m probably looking to have my next baby – by the time I give birth, I’ll be like 37/38 and that is fine.
“Geriatric pregnancy, come at me.”
She said thoughtfully: “I’m gonna have a lovely, healthy -hopefully – baby, baby boy.”
Holly – who is pregnant with her second baby – went on: “Let me just give you a statistic here.
“So according to a 2023 report by the Office of National Statistics, between 2016-2018 and 2019-2021 there was actually a 15% rise in the number of women giving birth in England aged over 50.”
“Oh, 50!” she exclaimed.
“So this means that more women are actually giving birth at an older age,” stated Holly.
The 36-year-old is expecting her first child with Towie boyfriend Jordan Brook, with the couple sweetly announcing the news last year.
The pair finally fell pregnant after a two-year fertility battle.
The Geordie Shore and Towie star found out earlier this year that she and Jordan are set to welcome a baby boy.
The 31-year-old dad-to-be has been in hospital for two weeks after falling ill with a mystery infection.
Jordan was rushed to hospital earlier this month after becoming seriously ill with viral meningitis and encephalitis.
He has since revealed how seizures have taken over, with his brother flying in from Australia to see him in hospital.
The Essex lad hasn’t shared the extent of which illness he is battling, but has told fans he has swelling on the brain.
Jordan was recently reunited with Sophie – who has been staying back at home due to the risk to her health that Jordan’s condition poses.
Sophie and Jordan have been together since 2022 and finally fell pregnant at the end of last year.
The pair revealed how they had travelled far and wide for fertility treatment, telling The Sun how things were looking up following a trip to Greece.
