KATIE Price has slammed “so serious” Good Morning Britain hosts after expecting a much lighter chat during her recent interview.
The former glamour model appeared on the ITV breakfast show to discuss the latest goings on in her life, including her new marriage to Lee Andrews.
But while Katie kept things upbeat and breezy, she was surprised by the more stern tone taken by hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid.
In a behind the scenes vlog, Katie is seen preparing to go on air as Susanna greets her warmly, saying: “It’s so good to see you!” before giving her a hug.
However, fresh off air, Katie admitted she felt the interview moved so quickly she didn’t get a chance to say much at all.
She said: “They’re sitting there trying to be all serious, while I’m just trying to be happy and breezy.
“They were trying so hard to be serious with me. Which is cool, they can do it, but it went so quick I didn’t feel like I answered anything.”
Introducing the segment, Susanna said: “Katie married business owner Lee Andrews in a glamorous ceremony just 48 hours after he proposed.”
During the interview, Katie was quizzed on her whirlwind marriage to fourth husband Lee Andrews, including claims about his reported PhD.
The reality star denied he had a PhD from Cambridge, but insisted he does hold one from Spain.
The newlywed insisted she was happy and opened up about her relationship with Lee, and why he has yet to meet her children.
Katie admitted she doesn’t feel she knows him well enough yet, despite marrying him, and wants to spend more time together before introducing him to her kids.
She explained that her children have spoken to Lee over FaceTime, but have not yet met him in person.
Susanna pressed: “Do you think that’s enough?”
Katie replied: “No, like it never is enough.
“And for me to introduce him to the kids, I won’t be introducing him to the kids yet, because I want to get to know him more myself.
“And I think the thing that everyone can’t get their head round is why have I married him quick.
“I was there. We got engaged. And it just felt right, so why not get married?”
Meanwhile comedian Katherine Ryan has joked that the only PhD Lee has must be ‘in scamming’.
Katie married the Dubai-based businessman within 10 days of meeting him, declined a pre-nup and seems to wholeheartedly trust in the 42-year-old.
Over the past few months The Sun has revealed how Lee was exposed as a “Walter Mitty,” who boasts a string of top jobs and posted fake AI images with celebs.
Lee also claimed to have a slew of prestigious awards and business accolades that either do not exist – or were given to someone else.
For example, Lee claimed to find the time to work as a senior board member at Top Build Corporation (BLD) NYSE.
However, a spokesperson for Top Build Corporation has now told The Sun: “We do not recognise anyone by that name.”
On LinkedIn, Lee listed himself as a Member of the Board of Advisors to the Labour Party since 2015.
But a Labour source said: “We don’t have a board of advisors and he doesn’t work with us.”
