Love Island’s Toni Laites and Cach Mecer split weeks after explosive Brits row

LOVE Island winners Toni Laites and Cach Mercer are over for good, three weeks after their Brit Awards row.

The pair had been trying to work through problems since the bust-up left them on the rocks but have been unable to find a way back.

Toni has just got back from a work trip to New York and Cach is back from a break in Morocco.

A source said: “It’s definitely over with Toni and Cach and they’ve called it quits.

“It’s a really sad situation but after being on the rocks for a while, the Brits ended up being the final straw and they couldn’t make it work.

“They kept talking and tried to make things work but have now called it a day.”

Last month, it was exclusively revealed by The Sun the pair were on the verge of a split, less than a year after winning the ITV2 dating show.

The Sun revealed that the pair were embroiled in a fiery row during the Brit Awards ceremony last month.

A source previously told us that Toni and Cach ended up in a full-blown argument around halfway through the ceremony.

“It got so bad that Cach left and didn’t return for the rest of the evening then they left separately,” they said.

Cach was later seen at the Warner Music after party, with no sign of Toni.

Just a few hours after their public bust-up, Toni and Cach then decided to unfollow each other on Instagram.

However, the two then re-followed online in the weeks following, suggesting their relationship was on the mend.

Love Island winners – where they are now

EVERY year Love Island opens its doors to more sexy Islanders who are hoping for a holiday romance that could turn into more.

Despite their online reconciliation, Toni did post on her Story about his birthday.

The two haven’t been spotted together since the row, with Toni instead spending time back in her native America catching up with old friends.

This week she was also seen hanging out with fellow Love Island alumni Olivia Attwood and Samie Elishi in New York

The trio were seen enjoying the sights of the Big Apple while promoting a new River Island jeans range.
