Olly Murs has revealed he will take a step back from touring and performing for a year to prioritise ‘being a present father and husband’.
The singer, 41, welcomed son Albert in September 2025 with his personal trainer wife Amelia Tank, 34, whom he happily married in 2023, and they also share 19-month-old daughter Madison.
‘When you become a dad yourself, it really puts things into perspective. It’s a lovely year of me working on side projects and on smaller things, not worrying about music or touring,’ he told The Mirror.
‘This year is just (about) being a present father, present husband, and being there for my wife and kids, just enjoying a break.’
He jokingly added: ‘So it’s looking like restless nights. It’s being shouted at every day by Madi, ‘I want more food!”
Olly has discussed how ‘tough’ it has been for him to be away from his newborn son due to his tour commitments.

Olly recently returned to music with his new album Knees Up and has been busy promoting his new project.
Joining Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on the radio show, he discussed how he’s found juggling a young family with his career.
Olly explained: ‘The last few weeks I’ve said to Amelia, ‘It’s been really tough.”
He continued: ‘Because my album came out last week so I’ve been promoting that, then obviously this, and now I’ve got a Christmas song coming.
‘I did say to her ‘I promise you darling it is going to be a bit more quieter next year and I’m going to be around a lot more and then you’re gonna hate me even more’.’
Last year, the Up hitmaker praised Amelia as she posed in underwear to celebrate her postpartum body after giving birth to Albert.

Doting husband Olly publicly displayed his support and affection for Amelia as he swooned over her in the comments.
He wrote: ‘Two beautiful kids, one unbelievable, incredible wife x I’m a lucky lucky man xx’.
