Deport Fraudsters? Democrats Said No – HotAir

Do you have even a tiny bit of doubt that Democrats approve of people who defraud the government, or that they have relied on fraudulently obtained money to help fund their political campaigns?





Well, if you still do, given all the evidence before you, it’s time to get your head checked. 

But if you need more evidence and are even a bit open-minded, consider this. When given the opportunity to draw a red line and declare that people who came to America to defraud the government are not welcome here, the Democrats loudly proclaimed “No!”

They even want people who stole money from us who live outside the United States to be eligible to move here. 

I guess they need to recruit more voters and campaign donors who harvest your tax dollars in Medicaid schemes in order to ensure that more of them get elected. 

I suppose you could be reassured that 15 Democrats voted to deport these corrupt individuals, but is that really a comfort? Over 90% of Democrats said “Yes” to fraud, and I will bet that most of the rest are in purple districts and afraid to state their allegiance to fraudsters quite this openly. 

Democrats will come up with any excuse. 

Taylor said of the bill’s passage, “It’s a no-brainer — if an illegal alien defrauds the United States or steals benefits from our nation’s most vulnerable, they should be permanently removed from our country.”

Democratic lawmakers largely opposed the GOP-authored bill, arguing that noncitizens convicted of fraud are already eligible for deportation.

“Another week, another redundant and completely unnecessary immigration crime bill,” Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., said during debate on the measure. 

Democrats also sharply criticized the measure for eroding legal immigrants’ due process rights by permitting noncitizens to be deported prior to prosecutors securing a conviction.

“By bypassing the conviction requirement, this legislation would hand a liberal get-out-of-jail free card to immigrants who commit fraud by deporting them without going through the criminal justice system and giving their victims a day in court,” Raskin said.





Redundant? Hardly. Making the taxpayers pay to convict the fraudsters? Not only is it ridiculous, given how many hundreds of thousands it costs to prosecute even one white-collar fraud case, but recent experience shows that liberal judges in places like Minnesota will overturn jury convictions based on flimsy pretexts. 

How about deporting them if they abuse animals used in law enforcement? Nope. Torture the dogs and horses. You might have to if you are confronted by the police as they try to arrest you for a crime, or ICE agents come after you for breaking immigration law. 

California told El Cajon police that conducting a welfare check on an unaccompanied child could violate state law — because it might lead to sharing information with federal authorities.

Think about that. A child who may have been trafficked or abandoned. And the state says checking on them is the problem.

Earlier this week, I sent a formal letter to AG Bonta demanding a real answer: Do California’s sanctuary laws conflict with federal law that makes it a felony to encourage someone to remain in the country illegally?





Diversity is our strength. 

Democrats are proving that there is literally no crime for which an illegal alien can be deported in their eyes. They object to ICE arresting rapists, murderers, child molesters, and fraudsters. Illegal aliens can get arrested 10, 20, 30 times and Democrats will refuse to turn them over to ICE. 

They will cover up sex crimes against children to protect illegals, because that is how they roll. They will sacrifice American citizens to protect illegals because illegals built this country, you know. 





It is now the official position of the Democratic Party that illegal aliens should vote, and that requiring proof of citizenship would “disenfranchise” millions of people. Illegal aliens should be allowed to remain in the country even if they rape or murder people. That gang members should be allowed to terrorize people. And that protecting Americans is not the primary responsibility of the US government. 

Democrats have concluded  that the best way to win in the 2026 elections is to follow the Spanberger Strategy: campaign as a moderate, govern as a radical leftist. 

If you follow what they are doing in Congress and in Blue states, their priorities remain the same. They are radical on the social issues, and haven’t moved an inch on alphabet ideology. They are desperate to raise taxes, keep fraud going, and to elect people like Gavin Newsom, because he is a great liar. 





Democrats aren’t moving to the center on anything. They are, if anything, getting more radical. The best you can say is that a few are trying to moderate their rhetoric in preparation for the midterm elections. 

Any party that would defund the Department of Homeland Security in the  midst of a war with a terrorist regime, and after four radical Islamist attacks, is about as radical as you can get.
