LAMINE YAMAL is one of the biggest talents in world football at just 18-years-old.
The Barcelona sensation was second in the running for the Ballon d’Or in 2025, finishing behind only Paris Saint-Germain‘s Ousmane Dembele.

Yamal has already claimed two LaLiga titles with Barca, while also shining on the international stage with Spain.
The forward’s performance during La Roja’s Euro 2024-winning campaign is considered by many to be one of the greatest tournament debuts by a teenager in history.
The wonderkid continues to catch the eyes of many and his choice of handwear during matches has also got people talking.
Why does Lamine Yamal wear a bandage on his hand?
Many top footballers have been seen wearing bandages on their hands while playing at the highest level – and Yamal is one of the top stars to do so.
The Spanish talent injured his hand in February 2025 and began wearing the strapping as a result.
But the bandage has since become part of Yamal’s matchday routine.
Many players opt to keep the strapping if they have played well during their spell with it and then later include it in their full-time ritual.
The tape also makes some stars feel more comfortable playing after sustaining a hand injury in the past.
Yamal’s Barca team-mates Raphinha, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski have all won similar strapping.
In the Premier League over the years, players like Phil Foden, Jamie Vardy and Alejandro Garnacho have all worn similar tape for long periods of time.
