Chelsea fans fear mass exodus as Enzo Fernandez hints at transfer exit after record European humiliation v PSG

ENZO FERNANDEZ cast doubt on his Chelsea future to cap a horror night for the Blues.

Boss Liam Rosenior was booed by fans for his changes while they also chanted former owner Roman Abramovich‘s name.

Fernandez, who was captain on the night, then said he did not know whether he would be at the club next season.

The Argentina international, 25, has six years left on his deal but is a target for PSG and Real Madrid.

Asked about his future, Fernandez told ESPN:  “I don’t know, there are eight games left and the FA Cup. There’s the World Cup and then we’ll see.”

Rosenior would not comment on Fernandez’s revelation, insisting he knew nothing about the matter.

He said: “I haven’t seen that

“To be fair it’s hard for me to speak on speculation after this game. I need to focus on the more important things”.

Fernandez is the club’s vice-captain and wore the armband against PSG in the absence of Reece James, but was substituted after 60 minutes for Romeo Lavia.

He was bought off alongside Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro to a chorus of boos from Chelsea supporters inside Stamford Bridge.

Some of Europe‘s top clubs are reportedly interested in the Argentine midfielder.

French media say PSG see him as a long-term target and could make a move to sign him in the summer.

Real Madrid are also monitoring the situation and could be tempted to make him a huge offer.

And reports in Argentina suggest two clubs in the Saudi Pro League are also keen on the 25-year-old

Fernandez was signed for £105m from Benfica in 2023.

He was the first real marquee player signed by the BlueCo ownership who could be considered a success, despite his £105m price tag.

Concerningly, he also leads Chelsea most attacking metrics this season, and has been one of the team’s players of the season, alongside Joao Pedro.

Fans are fearing the worst if he leaves; that others will follow.

One on X said “Lovely thing to hear from our vice captain after we got humiliated out the CL.”

Another added: “And so it begins They’re all leaving”

A third said: “Cole Palmer will leave. Enzo Fernandez will leave. Caicedo will leave. Estevao will leave.”

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu all scored against a meek Blues side at Stamford Bridge last night.

It was Chelsea‘s joint-heaviest defeat in European history, having lost to Bayern Munich by six goals under Frank Lampard.

It was also the first time they have conceded eight goals across a competitive two-legged tie in any competition.

The opening goal came from a mistake by youngster Mamadou Sarr, with Rosenior warning they must cut out errors to make sure they are back in the Champions League next season.

He said: “We want to be in this competition next season and if we perform how I know we can we can get there without the individual mistakes we are making at the moment.”

Trevoh Chalobah was also stretchered off with a sprained ankle late on and will be scanned today, though there is hope he has escaped serious injury.
