He is cycling a tandem from Weymouth to Edinburgh over eight days.

William joined him just north of Doncaster earlier this morning.

Footage showed the pair sharing a laugh together as they rode on the tandem.

The Prince of Wales said: “What you’ve done is set an example about helping out.

“That’s the thing. It’s volunteering some of your time, putting yourself through a bit of pain at the same time, and supporting others.

“It’s something we do very well in this country, but we don’t really shout about it enough.

“This challenge helps everyone see that. And it’s an amazing team effort.

“Huge well done, Greg.”

Red Nose Day takes place on Friday where Greg will reach the finish line in Edinburgh.

Greg’s daunting journey will be the longest challenge and furthest distance ever completed by a Radio 1 challenger.

Wills previously shared an insight into his mental health during an appearance on BBC Radio 1 alongside Greg.

The Prince of Wales appeared on the station alongside Greg, Professor Green and musician Guvna B, among others.

During his time on the show, the dad-of-three explained that it had taken him “a long time” to understand his emotions while working as a first responder.

Wills went on to explain that more “male role models” speaking candidly about their experiences with mental health would help other men feel as though they could open up.
