Arsenal have best supersubs in Premier League and top table for goal contributions.. with bungling Man City worst

MAX DOWMAN stole the show when he came off the bench during Arsenal’s crucial win over Everton – and the Gunners are leading the way when it comes to subs making an impact.

No top-flight sides have had more goals and assists from those who started a showdown out of the starting line-up.

Dowman, 16, put in a dangerous delivery for Viktor Gyokeres’ opener and added his own name to the scoresheet as Arsenal grabbed a late victory against Everton.

And it took the Gunners’ tally of Premier League goal contributions from the bench up to 21.

The North Londoners have had players find the net 11 times after coming off the bench.

Statistics show another ten assists have been notched by Arsenal’s supersubs.

City threw on Jeremy Doku, Rayan Cherki, Phil Foden and Tijjani Reijnders in a desperate attempt to narrow the gap.

City have only had one goal and as many assists provided by a substitute in the Premier League this term.

On both occasions, they came from the boot of £34million summer signing Cherki.

It means that City have the worst record in the top-flight when it comes to goal contributions from the bench.

Everton are the only side to not have a single assist notched by a sub, but three goals have come from players thrown into the fray by chief David Moyes.

Despite sitting in the bottom half of the Premier League, Brighton boast the second-best record.

Fabian Hurzeler’s replacements have found the net nine times and grabbed five assists along the way.
