Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy is the victim of a cruel hoax as anonymous troll sends her flowers with a savage note attached

Liam Payne‘s girlfriend Kate Cassidy has been the victim of a cruel hoax as she revealed an anonymous troll sent her flowers with a savage note attached.

The American influencer, 26, took to her Instagram on Saturday to share that a bouquet of flowers had unexpectedly been delivered to her home.

But despite her excitement at the surprise gift, Kate’s joy soon turned to hurt when she read the note attached to the flowers.

The cruel note read: ‘Happy early birthday! The Botox and the TikTok filters are working harder than all of us x. TikTok user.’

Sharing the video, Kate wrote: ‘People are so mean. I was in the middle of filming TikToks in my kitchen when I got this call and I thought it would be a cute moment to film. Turns out it wasn’t.’

At the beginning of the clip, Kate was smiling as she said to the camera: ‘I just got a call from my front desk saying that there’s a flower delivery here. Actually have zero idea who these would be from, and I’m a little bit nervous.

‘Oh, my God, I love getting flowers. Now we wait patiently for somebody to knock on the door.’

Hearing her dog wake up, Kate told the camera: ‘I have a feeling he’s here, because Nala just got up.’

Kate walked to the door to collect the flowers before excitedly running over to the kitchen island to check who they were from.

However after reading the cruel note, Kate threw the bouquet of flowers in the bin.

‘Okay, these, these flowers, need to go right in the trash,’ she said on camera.

She added: ‘I’m actually shaking and I’m so angry. Like, who genuinely spends the money and like, the time to literally go out of their way to hurt somebody’s feelings.

‘Like, who genuinely does that? I’m so sick and tired of this.’

Last month Kate shared a sweet tribute to Liam as she wished her ‘best friend a happy Valentine’s Day’ in a post shared to Instagram on Saturday.

The One Direction star died aged 31 in October 2024, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and was found to have alcohol and cocaine in his system.

And now Kate has marked her second Valentine’s Day without Liam by posting a sweet polaroid of the pair of them enjoying a night together to Instagram.

Alongside the post, the blonde wrote: ‘Happy Valentine’s Day to my best friend from afar.’

Last year Kate broke down in tears and said that her future boyfriends would have to accept that she’ll ‘always love’ Liam.

The influencer shared an update as she hit back at an online troll who said that they wished he would stop talking about the late singer and move on.

The pair had been together for two years before he passed away, with Kate documenting her journey with grief on social media.

In a TikTok video, Kate said: ‘I want to make something clear. Whoever I end up with in my future will have to accept the fact I will always love Liam.

‘I will always talk about Liam I will always laugh about Liam, I will always cry about Liam.’

Kate continued: ‘Let me tell you something, Liam Payne was my boyfriend. He wasn’t just this famous figure to me.

‘It hurts so bad because I am just criticised all the time for speaking about my boyfriend that passed away, the person that I loved and still do love. I would never settle for anyone in this lifetime who did not feel comfortable enough with me speaking about Liam.

‘Liam was a very big part of my life. He was my best friend, somebody I really thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with and, obviously, I know one day I’m going to have to move on. I want to get married one day. I want to have kids.

‘When a person dies, they die twice, once when they actually die and the second time when you stop speaking about them. I’m not going to have Liam die twice on me. I will love him forever.’

Meanwhile, Liam’s sister Ruth Gibbins emotionally said ‘it feels like all of him is being removed’ after the news his senior school is being knocked down.

Ruth remembered sweet memories of the time she spent with Liam at their senior school in an Instagram Story on Friday and quipped that he would always ask her for money.

She wrote: ‘Hearing part of our senior school is being knocked down and having such clear memories of Liam waiting by my locker to ask for money off me all the time, feels like all of him is being removed from the planet, all the places we’ve been are changing and he’s not here to change with him.’ ‘”A thousand tiny losses every single day”‘, she quoted.

Kate has previously appeared to hit back at her late boyfriend’s sister for claiming that people are ‘using his death for fame’.

Kate took to Instagram to share images of her paid-for luxury hotel trip, which took place during his anniversary on October 16.

Days before the trip, Liam’s sister Ruth appeared to take a swipe at Kate, writing in a tribute: ‘Everyone only seems interested in the public side of this. Some sadly seem more interested in the fame they can gain off this…

‘But on the human side people need to remember when they speak, there is a son without his Dad, parents without their child and I am lost without my brother.’
