HOUSE Party guests at a low-key backyard gathering were left gobsmacked as a huge rockstar served up coleslaw and tended to a barbecue.
With no airs or graces, the music legend got his hands dirty and helped to load up plates with food.
Dave Grohl has won a whopping 17 Grammy Awards throughout his career and counts the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page as pals.
But the former Nirvana drummer, 57, is still a man of the people and is more than happy to break bread with ordinary folk.
A guest at the bash shared a video on TikTok of Dave chit-chatting and bantering with party-goers.
And, the verdict on his cooking: “It was SO good.”
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, they said: “This was at my friend’s house in Los Angeles who puts together shows in his backyard all the time.
“He said he’s been trying to get this to happen for a few years and it all fell into place the last couple weeks.”
They continued: “It was so fun and Dave was incredibly nice. He even laughed and cut up with us as we were getting food. Truly one of the most unreal things that’s happened to me.”
“‘Never miss a backyard BBQ at Jeff’s house,’ we say.”
Fans in the comments couldn’t quite believe he had cooked all the food for the backyard bash.
One fan joked: “Dave had caterers then put the food in his bowls.”
Another person wrote: “I have never in my 55 years, been so jealous of someone. You are so lucky, hope it was awesome.”
A third fan penned: “Dave is a serious BBQ guy from what I’ve heard.”
Meanwhile, a fourth person wrote: “Did he pretend to do it? Is he like the others?”
For those who know, Dave’s love of BBQs and smoking meats is legendary.
He’s taken part in numerous cookouts over the years and has helped to feed the homeless at Hope the Mission shelters in Los Angeles.
He also fed firefighters who helped battle the California wildfires last year.
His love affair with grilling began in the early 90s when he finally started making good money with grunge rockers Nirvana.
Dave bought a beach house in North Carolina and devoured pulled pork outdoors.
He said: “I would get a pint and eat it until it ran out, then I would get another pint until it ran out—just pulled pork on a white bun with slaw, and that was it.
“I realized, Oh, this is barbecue: so simple, but sublime and complex.”
The Everlong rocker even gave Kerrang a rundown of his best BBQ tips in 2018 that included applying seasoning liberally and taking your time; his favourite meats require hours on the grill.
Foo Fighters are currently on their “Take Cover Tour,” which began in January and is set to run through to early 2027.
They have announced just two UK stadium shows for 2026 as part of their European leg of the tour.
Foo Fighters will take the stage on 25 and 27 June at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool.
First single from their new album, Your Favourite Toy, is a scuzzy rocker that sees the band rediscover their raw sound.
