THE United States has reportedly launched a massive bombing raid on Iran’s strategic Kharg Island.
Donald Trump said American forces “totally obliterated” military targets in one of the biggest strikes in the Middle East.
The President said the attack had just been carried out by US Central Command on Friday, and warned Iran not to interfere with shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Moments ago, at my direction, the United States Central Command executed one of the most powerful bombing raids in the History of the Middle East, and totally obliterated every MILITARY target in Iran’s crown jewel, Kharg Island.”
He said the strikes deliberately avoided the island’s oil infrastructure, but warned that decision could quickly change.
