Eric Swalwell Is Lying Scum – HotAir

I know this will shock you as much as it shocked me, but Eric Swalwell has proven to be just as big a lying scumbag as Adam Schiff. 

Will wonders never cease?





Swalwell is currently in the lead in California’s “jungle primary,” in which the top two vote-getters from all candidates will advance to the general election. This means that both candidates can come from the same or different parties. With any luck, a Republican will at least be on the ballot come November, but it is hardly a sure thing.

Tom Steyer, who is running for governor as a Democrat after ruining the state with various other endeavors through his environmental activism, has picked up on the fact that Swalwell’s only claim to California residency is that he rents a single room in a family’s home. He lists his Washington home as his permanent residence, and that is where he and his family reside. 





It appears that when he visits California, he stays in a hotel, which you have to say is pretty funny. But then again, who wants to walk to the bathroom in your boxers in front of virtual strangers? It’s one thing to go around half-dressed or less with Chinese spies, but quite another to do so in front of children, and I have no reason to believe he is into that. 

Swalwell pretends to be livid that he has been “doxxed,” because outrage and victimhood are the currency of power in California politics, at least everybody pretends that victimhood is a superpower. 

I receive hundreds of death threats every year.  My children are not allowed in the yard.  That’s why my address is private.  And now Tom Steyer has not only put my life at risk but also my family’s by releasing my address.  

And the California Post and Daily Mail took his bait and are harassing my neighbors.  

Tom, you can try to buy this election all you want, but this is low, even for you.





The ability to rip off taxpayers is the real superpower, of course, but you can’t actually run for office on that as a platform. It would be gauche. (Steyer himself has made a fortune off green energy scams and built up his political cred as a Trump hater.)

So Swalwell is pretending that his family has been put in danger, which is weird, since his family lives thousands of miles away on the East Coast, and he loves to show them and his residence off in other circumstances. 

It’s funny that a man who has made a career out of running toward every camera and microphone is a stranger to all his neighbors, who also don’t seem scared of the many assassins that Swalwell claims to be worried about. 





Of course, these days, there isn’t a Democrat in the country who has to be worried that Pravda will go after them unless another member of the Democratic Party has put a political hit out on them, so Swalwell has been able to lie to everybody without qualms. 

He is, after all, right up there with Adam Schiff as one of the designated liars of the Democratic Party. The media will allow him to say the most outrageous lies without casting a bit of doubt on him. He is untouchable. 

Then again, he IS in a primary, and one of his opponents IS a billionaire with a lot of sway, so perhaps Swalwell will have to answer a question or two. No Republican could lay a glove on Swalwell because the media would defend him from any accusation, but perhaps Steyer can throw his money around as a billionaire and scratch the paint. 

Stranger things have happened. 





The same thing happened to Katie Porter, who was a darling of the Democrats for some reason until she got too big for her britches, which is saying something in her case. She could physically abuse her husband and deride her staff in front of everybody without a care in the world—until she got in the way of Adam Schiff. 

And, as you can see, she is dead to the Democratic Party, with less than half the support of Swalwell, because Democrats took a hit out on her. 

Steyer may beat Swalwell by strategically deploying his money, and by that I don’t mean in ads. A billionaire can buy the loyalty of power brokers, although if Swalwell has levers he can pull himself, he may do fine. He has been, after all, a loyal sewer rat and may have some dirt on people they would prefer to keep in the dark corners. 

Swalwell is, after all, lower than the scum at the bottom of a sewage treatment plant. 





And he smells like that too.
