A SAVVY Vinted seller has revealed the three types of items you should be uploading if you want to make cash quick.
Liv Needham, a side hustling mother from the UK, works just two hours a day but makes up to £2,000 a month thanks to the marketplace app.
According to this Vinted guru, there are three types of items that are selling well at the moment, including some surprising sportswear.
So if you’ve got a wardrobe full of clothes you never wear and could do with some extra cash, you’ve come to the right place and will need to listen up.
Posting on social media, the Vinted expert said: “Here’s three things you should be selling on Vinted right now – I am currently consistently making about £1,000 to £2,000 a month from reselling, only doing about two hours a day at work, so make sure you follow along for lots of tips.”
First things first, according to Liv, “anything golf related” is selling well on Vinted at the moment.
Liv recognised that with spring finally here, this is the time of year where more people are getting back into golf.
As a result, she recommended selling golf items such as windbreakers, trousers, polo shirts and quarter zips.
She shared: “Think of brands that are gonna be good for that – Castore, Under Armour, Nike Golf.”
Not only this, but she stressed the importance of putting “golf” in the title of your descriptions to ensure listings reach the right audience.
Secondly, Liv explained that anything “crochet material” is sure to make you cash fast.
The content creator recognised that she recently uploaded a crotchet top to Vinted and it got “so many favourites” and “sold so quickly.”
She added: “This kind of thing is flying out, I think because it’s quite festivally [and] people getting ready for festivals.”
On the note of festivals, Liv revealed the third type of thing you need to be posting – as she explained that funky clothing that people would wear to music events is bound to sell fast.
Finally, the savvy mum revealed: “People are starting to look for these things now so if you’ve got any really bright funky coloured tracksuits, windbreakers are a huge one, any colourful tie-dye shirts, these are the kind of things that are gonna be selling well.”
Liv stressed the importance of putting “festival” in titles for such listings and added: “The more out there, the crazier, the brighter, the more luminous it is, the better it’s gonna do.”
Top tips on selling on Vinted, including how to ‘bump’ items for free
VINTED whizz Rose Claire took to YouTube to share her top tips for making sales on the site.
Here are the reseller’s main hacks for raking in sales…
Bumping Items For Free
To bump items to the top of the search results on Vinted you have to pay a fee.
However, Rose revealed that there is a simple way to get around this.
She explained that if an item hasn’t sold you can simply delete the listing and then re-upload it again.
As Vinted shows items in the list that they are uploaded, the re-uploaded items will appear at the top of the search feed.
White Background
Rose revealed that when taking pictures of items, you should always make sure to use a white or plain background.
“Don’t use anything colourful or that’s hard to digest visually”, she said.
She also makes sure that there are absolutely no creases or ruffles in her clothes and takes pictures in bright lighting to show off the items as best she can.
“I think the more pictures the better”, she added.
Accurate Description
To get the most accurate description of the items, Rose tries to find the original listing of the products on the websites she bought them from.
This way, she can use as many keywords as possible in the description.
“I recommend saying everything you can in the description”, she said.
“Just fill it out.”
Liv’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @thelivneedham, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 53,900 views in just 24 hours.
Vinted sellers were thankful for the helpful advice and eagerly raced to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Love this, thank you.”
Another added: “Good to hear. I love what you are doing.”
A third commented: “Ooh I have a random pair of golf trousers I picked up at the end of summer. I’ll dig them out.”
Meanwhile, someone else chimed in: “Good call.”
At the same time, other Vinted users shared the items they have had success selling recently.
One seller explained: “Maternity care items are doing really well I’ve found.”
Whilst another Vinted user wrote: “Football shirts are selling well, particularly national teams in the run up to the World Cup.”
